Why does the argc clinic have such a high success rate for ivf

Is it because they offer ivig? Is there anything else that's additional that they offer?

Good question!! We've been looking at moving clinics for a final round so would be very interested to hear people's experience of ARGC x

Hello I'm currently at ARGC. I think the main reason is the monitoring. You have daily blood tests and a scan every other day. Second week you have a blood test twice a day ! Because of the monitoring they tailor the drugs to you each day so it's pretty intense . They also do all the immune treatment so intralipid or ivgs. I've also been told that the equipment they have for culturing the embryos is the best in the uk! It's intense, not pretty but you cannot argue with his results !

If anyone is mentioning clinics by name, please do do via private messaging. Thanks.

My bad, sorry! I am interested in their specific methods rather than as a recommendation as I don't think I would swap from my current clinic, I would like to see if I could be seeking any extra treatments to go with my next ivf cycle

I think there have been mixed views from what I have read. Worth having a read on other forums..there was a talk of a sister clinic taking the more uncertain patients to not affect the success rates and I'm sure there was a documentary on tv which had them on it, but I can't remember which one it was on...

Im there too kc, have probably seen you around! They're very thorough with bloods/scans etc and call you daily with meds instructions. I had a son with them nearly 3 years ago too. From the research I did the controversy was in the price and unproven methods (mainly from the Daily Mail!), but it worked for me so I was happy. My NHS consultant dismissed most of what this clinic said, but in my mind I'd rather have everything going to see if it works - and for me it did.

Hi, I would be aware that it's success rates depend on the issues the patients present with; if as above they are filtering out the more difficult to treat patients then their success rates will be better. It doesn't mean they are doing anything clinically better.

Also make sure you are comparing like for like; some clinics advertise their pregnancy rates, but their live birth rates will be lower.

Good luck xxx
