Friendship struggles
Feeling lost and looking to vent in hope that I’m not alone. 10 months into
IVF
and one of the hardest things I’ve found is the effect on my friendships. At 41 I thought I had found my true “soul” friendships - but most of my friendships have suffered through this.

Cyclogest - 3 times a day?
Hi all - just having my first round of
IVF
and had my egg collection today; 8 mature eggs which isn’t a bad number I don’t think. As I’m waiting to hear whether any fertilised, they’ve told me to start taking the cyclogest 400mg pessaries 3 times a day.

Natural v Medicated FET
Textbook perfect
IVF
, except 5 times we haven't made it past test date and have had BFNs throughout. I had said earlier in this process that I would prefer medicated cycles - I'd prefer the control and the safety of knowing that I wasn't missing out on an easy fix.

Preparing for FET
I have gone through numerous failed
IVF
procedures where the quality of my eggs haven't been good enough to make embryos so my partner and I decided on donor eggs. We were very fortunate in finding a match very quickly but everything we have gone through has been very tough.

Endometriosis and Fertility
The advice was to use donor eggs or to repeat the
ivf
cycles with the same high doses of stimulating meds. I wasn’t ready to give up yet. I’m currently in Greece having my 2nd round of
IVF
cycle. The prices and the level of care you get here is amazing compared to the UK.

Down regulation - blood test?
The reason why I had to go through the down regulation route is that my first
IVF
, which was a short protocol, failed miserably. I was bleeding and lost all of my uterine lining and also had high progesterone throughout the stims phase.

Round 2: First scan
Over the past week I’ve been listening to the BFN podcast that someone on the forum recommended and it’s really helped me get back into the
ivf
mindset!

Swimming during IVF (FET)?
Is there any part of the FET cycle that it is recommended not to go swimming during? I start my FET in the next week or so and am booked to go on a caravan holiday soon where the swimming slots are booked in advance... the slots have just opened and I don't know if I can swim while doing the FET cycle

Ready to give up, but have 2 embryos left
After multiple
IVF
rounds (due to secondary infertility), I finally got pregnant at the end of last year with a donor egg, but sadly that ended in a missed miscarriage.

Peri-menopause
Could it be from years of
IVF
hormones (been in and out of
IVF
for 3 years, no baby yet). I feel it must be peri menopause. Whatever your reply please be kind with your input, as I am really down about this and currently dread going to bed because it disrupts my sleep every night.

After help for a friend, only able to do natural transfers due to migraine?
When I was going through
IVF
I can't ever remember being asked if I suffered from migraines. Is the information my friend's been given correct? I had a migraine during my first pregnancy and went through EC/transfers again and took estrogen, I didn't even think to query it.

Reopen another IVF chapter
Has anyone else felt like they wanted to have more children after finishing a cycle? I’ve done 3 transfers and have two kids. I’m very grateful however, I still want to grow my family. I just celebrated my 35th birthday yesterday. I am contemplating about starting my journey over in 6-9 months.

Create Birmingham ivf process
Hi everyone, I’ve recently been referred for
ivf
after a total 2 year wait between NHS appointments and a year ttc before my first appointment… We’ve had all the NHS investigations and had no issues found, just been told it’s unexplained infertility.
