So this morning was my first scan of round 2 and as we were driving to the clinic it all suddenly hit me and I got really teary - here we go again, jumping straight back on the emotional rollercoaster that is ivf!
I was so scared and nervous for what I was about to see given the unknowns surrounding my diagnoses of low AMH.
Over the past week I’ve been listening to the BFN podcast that someone on the forum recommended and it’s really helped me get back into the ivf mindset! I started right at the beginning (2018) which is a little strange but I thought it made sense to do that and I really like how they debunk all the myths surrounding IVF. It’s also given me a lot more recommendations of ppl to follow on IG and books to read.
The scan revealed more follicles than last time (11) though only 4 growing at the moment but still have a week of stims to go. They're in more of a cluster which she said is better. She's advised to delay taking the Cetrotide which I was due to start today till after my next scan on Friday to give them another couple of days of stims to see if any of the smaller ones start to grow. A very different experience to my first round when I had 6 follicles on the first scan but 2 were already over 14mm.
I’m keeping everything crossed that they develop well and will know more after my next scan!
