So after 5 rounds of IVF, yesterday I managed to get a cancellation for a laparoscopy and dye procedure. Findings - I have adhesions on my uterus, ovaries and liver?! This could limit the blood supply to my follicles, eggs and hinder egg quality etc…
I do not have the atypical symptoms for endometriosis or pelvic pain, the Dr thinks this was from a STD I caught 20 years ago which was treated.
The Dr is willing to perform a hysteroscopy in the next few weeks to see if it has affected my endometrium. This is my next step…. Then hopefully another round of ICSI.
Anyone else with adhesions? Care to share?
I wish you all luck, wherever you are on your journey xx

Did he not take a sample of the tissue and send to pathology to confirm whether it was endometriosis or not? He didn't remove the adhesions? Maybe you can ask him to refer you to someone that can do that? Best of luck to you xx
Hi Chel91, he said he removed as much as could see. To be fair it’s the only consultant I’ve spoken to that knew what he was talking about. He didn’t have consent for a hysteroscopy that was what held him back from performing it. So he said he’ll get me back in a few weeks. It really seemed like he was helping. In a weird way I can now move forward knowing what may have caused my infertility. Thank you xx
