I have my embryo transfer on the 2nd , if my embryo survives thaw . I am just super anxious. I assume if it survived freezing it would survive thaw? .
I am 26 and have pcos and responded very poorly due to my first ivf cycle obtaining 5 eggs 3 were immature 1 was a fresh transfer but lost my baby at 21 weeks to fetal anomaly . We have this remaining frozen day 6 embryo . I am absolutely petrified and worried about the thawing process . Scared hoping i even make it to transfer .
hi I hope you’re well, our clinic explained that they only freeze embryos with the right quality to survive the thawing process and said the greater majority thaws well, they sounded very confident that it rarely goes wrong. Not long to go now until Thursday, I’ll pray that everything goes perfectly for both of us , sending you a big hug xx
That is reassuring❤️, thankyou so much likewise❤️. Just waiting on a call tomorrow from the clinic on instructions regarding when to come etc . What time the procedure is if all goes well with the thaw. I cant believe it is almost time xx
it's getting very real now!! all the best of luck!! our transfer is booked for early afternoon all going well, they also said they'll ring us in the morning to inform about the embryo thawing outcome.
Hello, I’m sorry to read what you’ve previously been through. I’ve worried about this too for every transfer. My clinic have told me that over 95% of embryos survive the freeze. So the odds are very strong that it will be ok. Thinking of you
I get scared every thaw, but especially when there is no more in the freezer but everyone of mine has thawed perfectly. There is always a chance and your clinic will have their own stats but it’s in the high 90s percent wise the number of embryos that survive the thaw as like you say if they are strong enough for freezing they are pretty strong embryos. Good luck and I’m so so sorry for your precious late loss I can imagine it’s adding to your worry this time lovely and for very good reason l. Thinking of you 💜 and hoping for your little miracle xx
When our embryologist phoned the first time she gave me the "there is a risk that the embryo won't thaw" chat. I asked her about that risk and she ended up telling me not to worry about it - she said she hated having to give the chat so seriously as it is so very rare it almost never happens, but causes so much worry. It is one of those things you will worry and worry and worry about and once you get to the hospital the process will take over and you will only realise once the embryo is in there that it must have thawed fine!
