Is the copper coil still effective after 10 years?
Hi There, I had a copper coil
IUD
fitted 10 years ago. My doctors surgery is closed because of lockdown so I won't be able to make an appointment to have it removed or replaced. Should I be concerned about the effectiveness of the
IUD
at this stage?

Here we go again... back to square one?
I have finally been referred to a Gynaecologist and after a few months on the waiting list, I was able to have my consultation in February this year. As my endo symptoms are under control (no coil, no hormones, just taking phototherapy), we agreed on just having regular ultrasound scans every 3 months

Useless Consultants
Has anyone else had a useless consultant? Had my telephone appointment told her all my 20 year history again( she hadn’t looked at my notes as she couldn’t find them) then proceeded to tell her that I’ve had a 6 week bleed, constant pain and now a throbbing/stabbing pain near my right ovary. The response

Cannot cope with the cop out of excuses and the way you are treated if you cannot tolerate tablets like the Majority.
I have had a letter from my electro physiologist to my cardiologist stating that an ICD would not be appropriate in any situation in somebody who is unable to take any medication and had a sore arm last time she was in hospital via the BP monitor (Day 4 I asked for 1 Paracetamol as I have a very slight

2 months until I start IUI
So I was at the fertility clinic today and the nurse told me that they aim to do my first IUI in October. My fear is, today they tried to do a blood test for CMV and couldn’t get any blood from me, tried twice before I fainted. I’m hoping this isn’t a regular thing but two weeks ago I fainted during

I had the coil put in mid march and I experienced cramping for around a week after but all in all I was fine. The procedure went well. I'm here to ask if it's normal to not be able to have ever felt the threads as I havent been able to return for my checkup due to coronavirus. I'm now experiencing painful

Coil Query
Hiya. I currently have the Nexplanon implant and I’ve had it in for about a year now and it isn’t really working for me. I’m looking into getting either one of the coils I just want to get some advice and see if it’s worked well for some other people. My periods are really regular and quite heavy

Copper coil fitted for 3 years now. Never any problems until now.
My period as never been more than 2 days late in the last 3 years. But I'm now 10 days late and no sign of it coming. Has this happened to anyone before??

Colonoscopy with AF and ICD?
I've had several colonoscopies with AF and sedation, with no problems at all. But now - I have an ICD. Is an EP by protocol required to be present to switch it on and off before and after? If so, that must mess up their schedules badly.

Went to the gp and they removed it Had it taken out and started the pill but not doing much for my pain symptoms. Really stuck as to keep on
