Colonoscopy with AF and ICD?

I've had several colonoscopies with AF and sedation, with no problems at all. But now - I have an ICD. Is an EP by protocol required to be present to switch it on and off before and after? If so, that must mess up their schedules badly.

I have a duel pacemaker and have had Colonoscopy twice, my pacemaker was not switch off whilst I had the procedure done. I would ask the department or your EP for advise about it.
