Minera coil

Hi,Is anyone experiencing any pain in the lower abdominal due to expired minera coil?

My minera is expired last May and due of covid they can’t accomodate me but from last month I can feel time to time pain (like period pain).I am not sure if I am need to be alarm or its just normal as the Gp Minera can still be inside for atleast another year.

I hope someone will give me advice on this I am in 2 minded if I will lister to my GP or go to A&E if the pain consistently

If your Mirena has expired, have you been having sex ? Is there a pregnancy risk ?

No since its expired I don’t have intercourse with my husband as I am scared and in the same time.The last time we had sex was before it expired and it hurting me so much

I see on your profile your interests include endometriosis. If you have this condition , and the Mirena was controlling it , it may be recurring now that the IUS has expired.

If the pain is very severe, you need to call 111 or go to A and E.

If it is intermittent, your GP needs to see you to discuss.

Yes I have Endometriosis also that was one of the reason why I decided to put the Minera 5yrs ago
