Yes, but always ask your neuro doctor if in doubt.

Hi Jammiebrian

I flew 6 weeks after a ruptured aneurysm. The pressure on a flight has no risk on the coiling. Since then, I have been on about 6 flights and have never had a problem. Sleep well before travelling, drink plenty of water and I would strongly recommend noise cancelling headphones. It is best to het advice from your doctor.

I would always ring my consultantssecretary to ask this question

However I used to fly regularly after coiled anuerysm without any problems but obviously this applies to me, I would always ask first just in case!!

My aneurysm ruptured whilst I was in Lapland 4 years ago......I flew back and it wasn’t picked up until 5 months later( I was then an emergency!) I received the letter telling me my MRA scan had shown the aneurysm rupture on a Saturday afternoon.......that morning I had booked a fly cruise to the Caribbean for the December....fast forward a week and 1/2 to the day after they coiled my aneurysm and the consultant went through how everything went and asked me if I had any questions......... can I fly? He replied with yes you can fly next week if you like, where are you going? I explained my booking and was told it was fine, if in doubt always ask!

I had a SAH in August 2018 and had 4 coils to my communicating artery. I had to fly for work, and did so 6 weeks later. Make sure you sleep well the night before, lots of water, noise cancelling earphones and keep moving. Since then, I have flown about 10 times, and my scans, so far, have been fine.
