Trying 3 Arrows Iron - UK Test Guide?
Does anyone have a UK equivalent sheet of what we are striving to achieve by being optimal for our
iron
panel?

BREAKING NEWS. New Draft Guidelines by American Sleep Academy for RLS
There is a STRONG recommendation for IV
iron
infusions. There is a CONDITIONAL recommendation AGAINST dopamine agonists, making the point that in some cases, eg end of life care, it may be appropriate to accept the short term relief from RLS.

Looking for advice for my husband
He got normal results on everything except severely low vitamin D and high
iron
. They gave him high strength vitamin D capsules and took more bloods to test his
iron
and gene testing for suspected HH. Referred him for a colonoscopy, and awaiting a date.

Your thoughts on this will be appreciated, please
Previously put on B12 injections,
iron
, D, probiotics etc which has helped a bit. Two years ago, did a Medichecks full thyroid test and all was fine. (I don't know what those results were, so as we know, 'fine' may not be applicable in our expereince!)

Somebody asked why I take Berberine. I figured it something good to share.

Ropinerole to Gabapentin
Just for background, I have a very good Neurologist who is cooperative, I am 69 years, exercise regularly, eat 99% vegetarian, low BMI, and good
iron
counts, and also not sure it is relevant but live at altitude (7600 ft.). Thank you all for your responses and for this forum.

Missing video
therapy, however the
iron
therapy doesn't stop the disease, and the antipsychotic and antidepressant have caused unwanted effects in the brain and are getting ignored, I'm told by police her brain is stuffed, these medications have this effect on RLS patients, dose anyone know what video I'm talking

From oxy to buprenorphine
I had my
iron
levels tested and all is good, not a candidate for infusion. Dr. Buchfuhrer suggested I switch from oxycodone to buprenorphine and tonight I did. Was nervous to go off of Oxy as it worked, but I noticed it was wearing off earlier and earlier.

Has anyone ever defeated RLS?
Has anyone either found a medication or had an
iron
infusion and been "cured" completely? If not, what helps control it, how long you've taken/used it for? Has anyone ever had a GP or healthcare provider understand what RLS is and how to treat it from the first visit?

Consultant recommendations in the Essex, London, South East area
I never ignored the issue, I continued to use
iron
supplements, focused on having a good diet and looked into other avenues.

Low iron test results and a way forward please
Is it possible that the parietal cell antibodies could be preventing my body absorbing
iron
from these capsules or might I simply need a lot more
iron
than I can get through oral
iron
supplementation? Is an
iron
infusion the answer?

Speechless by my GP’s response
I messaged my GP surgery and requested a full thyroid blood test (not just TSH which is all I’ve been able to get since COVID) as well as
iron
, vits B and D tests. I’ve been feeling really rotten, and want to look at every potential reason.

Question on NHS Coverage.
If a person in the UK hires a physician say at the
Iron
Clinic in Cambridge can that physician order tests and those tests are covered by NHS?

I know I’m not absorbing it and I have had the same problem with
iron
. I’ve had gastroscopies which show chronic gastritis. This has been going on for 25 years and I feel I’ve always been existing and never felt 100% well.

I have some side effects, like headache, bowels not as bad as with gabapentin, I’m hoping these will pass, my question is should I be taking
iron
tablets, I do take multivitamins in the morning.
