Hey all,
I've been on a bit of a journey, unwell for the past few years, diagnosed 2012, did awesome on thyroid meds until...I didn't.
Since I have now all cofactors optimal (vit D, B12, folate, iron, ferritin - after iron IV, magnesium), I feel my problem either stems from cortisol issues or balance of thyroid meds.
I've been on T4 (tragic), T4+T3 (same as t4 on its own), NDT (much better than the other two) with T4 (with both ft3 ft4 high I was feeling bad), with T3 (reduced Armour and T3 better, but I can't up T3 much).
My blood serum cortisol is between 67-95% measured before 9 am.
My salivary cortisol is low in range on two points during the day (eaely morning and early afternoon) and optimal on the other three.
I don't split my dose, I take 90 T4 and 21 T3 in Armour and about 2.5 mcg T3 (altogether 23.5 t3). My estrogen is lowish in range and iron dipped too, hence why I had iron IV. I think it's because of my thyroid meds.
My endo wanted me to move on T3 mainly.
Right now my labwork is (since May on this dose):
Ft4 32%
Ft3 65%
24 hours after taking Armour with t3.
Symptoms: dizzy, breathless, water retention, tiredness, brittle hair falling out, dry eyes, skin, mouth, soft stools, hunger, shaky hands, blurry vision at times, libido issues, problems with cognition etc.
I can't really function now and work. The worst is after taking the meds, I get heart palps within an hour or two. If I start moving, my heart goes crazy and I feel faint and dehydrated.
Do I need to split Armour and t3? Do I need to take adrenal support or hydro? Or do I need to lower Armour and add t3?
Thank you 😊
