Tirosint
I am unable to take tablet form levothyroxine, I have a gene issue with metabolising some medications. I have started liquid thyroxine but I think the ingredients are affecting my stomach and I have been told to stop taking this to see if it is the cause. I see that Tirosint is quite pure but not sure

Negative HLA-B27
Quick recap, Dr originally diagnosed me with PMR, put me on 30 mg prednisone 14 weeks ago. After no great improvement he advised me to taper off so am now reducing 1mg every 3 days, currently at 16 mg. Dr tested for HLA-B27 (possible AS or non seronegative spondylitis type but bloods showed up negative

Thank you
Thank you for all your comments...ive got so many things wrong with me apart from CLL. Ive got spinal stenosis, chiari malformation, heart failure, its just one thing after another. I'm 63. Just really hoping I won't need chemo if this iron infusion works. Thank you all x

Hi guys, not been here for a while. My heamotologist rang this morning saying my red cells are low,and I'm anaemic even though I take an iron tab every day. Been on watch and wait with cll for over 14 years. A few years ago a different heamotologist gave me an iron infusion as he said levels were low

Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
Well, I got my full blood test back and after some analysis, I think I messed up. I have been supplementing daily with 36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate. Here are my lab results that concern me. Ferritin was 72! This is my lowest since my infusion in 2016. Eight weeks after my infusion

High Platelet Diagnosis Update….
I just thought I’d give an update after my latest phone call today with my Haematologist incase my info is helpful to anyone else going through similar…. A quick recap….nearly 2 years ago it was found I had a higher than normal platelet count (high 500’s) during a routine blood test. As this didn’t

new results 👍&👎
These are my new results and whilst my T3 is excellent do you think my T4 should come up a bit? I feel really tired most of the time but I am thinking this may have something to do with my vitamin results 🙄. In lots of ways I feel much better in myself, just need to work on my vitamins. I have struggled

Iron levels during pregnancy
At 28 weeks I had my bloods taken by a stand in MW. At my 31 weeks appointment I was told I should have been contacted as my iron levels were low and put on iron tablets. I'm now 35 weeks and they're still under 100. I'm going to have an iron drip today. Just wondered if any of you have had issues with

Help with latest blood results.
Edit - I posted the rest of my results in the replies because I didn't know how to post multiple images. Hello all I have posted here before although not for a while. So a bit of a back story I have suffered a range of symptoms for around 2 years now. And actually don't feel as though I've felt well

Am I going mad?
Hi! I've had so much helpful information from this forum and made copious notes over the last few weeks, I was determined I could get by without asking for help, but no. I'm so upset, after what I've decided is my last visit to the GP as I'm fed up of being fobbed off and coming out like a gibbering

Would taking a daily vitamin with 8 MG of Iron be harmful?
Hello, I have moderate fatty liver disease and I have been told that I also have low iron. I was already questioning whether I should take a multivitamin or not. Now I don't know if I should take one with a little iron in it. Thoughts?

Adrenal problems
I'd like someone to advise on some results I received last week. I have just had an adrenal "crash" so to speak and my previous post was about my thyroid meds. I'd like to know where in range ferritin and iron should be.Ferritin 113ug/L (11-307) Haemoglobin estimation 128g/L (115-165) Hematocrit 38.8%

Test interpretation please
Hi everyone, can I have some feedback on my Blue Horizons results please? (Off biotin for the recommended amount of time). The bloods were taken at 8:15am, my iron was ruined in the sampling, but I luckily have a couple of other NHS tests from the SAME day: Serum Folate 10.8 ug/L [3.0 - 14.4] Serum

Reducing Besremi dosing
Hi Community, I shared prior that I upped my Besremi dose from 150 to 180 the past two months. All was going well with several benefits which hadn't happened the past 18 months on Besremi: My JAK2 Allele dropped more than 20%, I have not needed a PB for months which means I now have normal iron

Total confusion about Ferritin (Medichecks) results!
I recently had a lightbulb moment on realising that the Medichecks Ferritin range has changed! I had an NHS test a couple of weeks ago and my ferritin was 56 ug/l (15 - 200 ug/l) and realised this was rather low for Hashimotos. I decided to do a Medichecks iron panel test and have, much to my humiliation

Heights Smart Supplement - should I stop? Advice
Hi guys, After recently finding out I have Hashimotos (going to the Dr on Thursday) I have been taking stock on what I take and whether it is beneficial to me or could cause harm. I take the Heights Smart Supplement and wondered what you guys thought of what is inside it. I was mainly worried because
