Iron levels during pregnancy

At 28 weeks I had my bloods taken by a stand in MW. At my 31 weeks appointment I was told I should have been contacted as my iron levels were low and put on iron tablets. I'm now 35 weeks and they're still under 100. I'm going to have an iron drip today. Just wondered if any of you have had issues with iron and if the drip helped/how did it affect birth? I'm having a planned c section

Hi hun! I had a massive iron deficiency while pregnant… I was on tablets and liquid iron but never got to decent levels. Doctors weren’t worried, I also had a planned section and all went well. Baby was healthy and I didn’t have any issue 😉 don’t worry it’ll go well xx

The main time is that the drip will correct your iron deficiency in plenty of time before your planned section

Keep well
