new results 👍&👎

These are my new results and whilst my T3 is excellent do you think my T4 should come up a bit? I feel really tired most of the time but I am thinking this may have something to do with my vitamin results 🙄.

In lots of ways I feel much better in myself, just need to work on my vitamins. I have struggled to find an iron supplement that doesn’t upset my tummy and so I’ve just ordered the patches someone mentioned in a previous post and will give them a go. I do struggle with taking all the vitamins, especially since I’m taking my T3 three times a day and often because I keep forgetting! I did notice my B12 has slipped but I just can’t stand the taste the tablets leave in my mouth, it makes me feel sick, I think it’s the yeasty taste, tricky as I’m a dairy free pescatarian.

I’ve been taking a separate folate which seems to be working but very very slowly so I think I might up the dose. To add to all that I’ve been taking a combined Vit D & K but I don’t think it’s working as well so am going back to my previous separate pills, they worked much better and I’m now wondering why I ever changed 😂

Oh I will add that I’m struggling with painful tight muscles anyone else having a similar problem?

Also, both my antibodies are way up, not sure why.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated 🥰

Free T4 (fT4) 14.2 pmol/L (12 - 22) 22.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 6.2 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 83.8%

Some people are fine with a low FT4 but not everyone. You may need your FT4 higher and FT3 slightly lower. A higher FT3 can cause fatigue and sleepyness.

Your vitamin results are only just slightly off optimal so its unlikely they are causing major issues. Perhaps better to focus on your thyroid numbers and make the tweaks you have already suggested to yoour vitamin supplements.

Have you tried a B complex as recommended by members here? This contains folate and B12 in good amounts. This B complex has all the right vitamins at a not unreasonable cost for 90 days supply. amazon.co.uk/Liposomal-Soft...

Thanks for replying, interesting to hear that a higher FT3 can cause fatigue and sleepyness, that’s just how I feel, I shall tweak and see.

I did think my ferritin was a bit on the low side and I’ve got osteopenia so keen to keep Vit D up.

As for B12, I did try all recommendations over the past few years but I just feel really sicky after them. Maybe there’s a patch for that too 😂😂😂

If the methyl B's aren't suiting you then there's a different type you can try that you might tolerate better. This is the alternative. dolphinfitness.co.uk/en/see...

Make sure you are taking vitamin K2 with your D3 supplement to help it go to your bones.

Always Vit K2 with Vit D. Thanks though. I think some of the problem is lack of motivation but I’m slowly getting back on track.

The Vit D that worked well for me was from Boots and was 3000iu Ultra Vit D combined with Oxford Vitality Vit K2 MK-7 100ug. My Vit D rose nicely. For some reason I changed to Oxford vitality combined pill and it hasn’t worked so well. Needless to say I’ve gone back to the first ones!

Can’t remember the B12 ones, think I’ll give the spray a go

Am I right is thinking the sprays don’t interfere with taking thyroid medication because if that’s right it’s a possible game changer what with having to take my T3 x3?

Thanks for help

Vitamin D tablets and gels you swallow need to be at least four hours away from levothyroxine

Mouth spray only hour away from thyroid hormones

Better you do a B12 spray, the same as the Vit D spray, but if I remember correctly it’s raspberry or peach flavoured, not anything like the Bcomplex tablets. I’m not as organised as SlowDragon, don’t have a link for you.
