Advice for Ongoing Condition?
Have been on the forum for a while, and has been a great help but asking for advice. About 2 years ago I had problems walking, was constantly tired and generally felt absolutely awful. I was forgetting names, and even falling off my bike when riding. Couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. Painful peripheral

Full iron panel results
hello, me again 😊 On the back of my last post I consulted with my GP and he agreed to increase my levothyroxine another 12.5mg so I’m taking 75mg daily. It’s early days but I don’t feel any different 😏 also taking on board SlowDragonadvice I had a full iron panel blood test. The results came in today

Iron Levels
Hi, Not sure anyone can shed any light on my situation, I have ET and only take aspirin as I'm low risk. My GP called today after some bloods that I had taken some weeks ago due to previous high levels of iron. My saturation level is 46% which is classed as high but my ferritin level is 21 which i

RLS the saga continues
Hi fellow survivors As suspected, my GP refused to refer me for I/V iron suggesting that I persevere with the oral supplements for another few months. He said it would be nigh on impossible to get an infusion on the NHS but was willing to refer me to a private doctor (I think someone mentioned a doctor

Living with HF
Hi everyone, I am feeling very anxious at the moment. I had a bad weekend, as the fatigue was unbelievable and I could hardly get out of bed. I did think I was going to go to sleep and not wake up! I have improved today and not so tired (although I have just had a 2hr biddy nap!). I am getting anxious

Iron deficiency problem? But told satisfactory . Please can anyone advise
Hi everyone, Hope you are all keeping well as we can be. Apologies for this long post I recently requested in Sep to have my VIT D levels checked as I recognised some of the symptoms from when I was deficient. And for some reason my levels had dropped so started 5 weeks ago to take a twice weekly

3 grains of Armour Thyroid - a very high dose?
Hi everyone, I posted recently as I was a bit confused by my results - suppressed TSH but both T3 and T4 at bottom of range. Since then my endocrinologist has increased my dose from 2.5 grains to 3 grains, but said he won't be able to increase any further as this is a high dose for my size and weight

Not a good day
Been very up and down lately. My recovery from my NSTEMI last November was going pretty well up till beginning of June. Was almost back to normal, well normal for me, and then I had an episode at rehab where I felt very giddy and my BP plummeted. After that it was chest pain on decreasing levels of exertion

donating blood with CLL
I have been taking Imbruvia for the past 2 years. Have been diagnosed with CLL for 3. For many years before this diagnosis I would donate blood. Can I still do that. A few years before my diagnosis my iron levels were low so I could not. Was just wondering should I try to donate again. Thanks Cleve

Update re: Total Confusion about Ferritin (Medichecks) Results!
As promised to Seaside Susie, and 6 months later, please see below response I've had from Medichecks. I'm just sad it didn't come in time for Seaside Susie to see that they had eventually listened to us! It is an improvement on the previous reference range for over 60yrs females but it raises more questions

iron infusion
I hear bad stories about iron infusions and allergic reactions. What happens if you get an allergic reaction and once you recover, do you feel better for having had the iron infusion
