Hello everyone. I am looking for a little advice. I had a Shinrix shot Feb 17 and have a Pfizer COVID shot booked for tomorrow. On the consent form, there is a box to check if you have had another vaccine in the past 14 days. It never occurred to me that this might be an issue. I booked the COVID shot because it suddenly became available. Would this be too much for my immune system to handle? I am at the very beginning of this journey RAI stage 0 and on watch and wait. Diagnosed Feb 1 of this year. I haven’t been able to find any official information on this topic. Thanks for your input.

Pfizer vaccine after Shinrix
Unfortunately some guidelines say no other shots within 30 days. You can ask your PCP or any pharmacist. My friend can't even get her shot because she has monthly infusions for carpel tunnel. She is in a bind with that situation. She was told no vaccine within 3 weeks. You may have to postpone your vaccine shot. 💕
CDC says no other vaccine14 days before or after a Covid 19 vaccine.
Definitely should ask your Dr to be sure. I had to wait thirty days in between my Shingrix and flu shot but I do see someone posted CDC guidelines below as well.
Thanks for the input. I decided to cancel the appointment. Fingers crossed I will be able to another appointment.
My brother had shinrex and was told to wait 30 days for COVID shot.
I volunteer weekly at our local Pfizer hub and one of the questions the nurse should ask before giving you your shot is if you have had any other vaccine in the past weeks. I you answer yes, they will not give you the vaccine and will reschedule you.
I was scheduled for an unrelated vacation on the same day has my 2nd Covid vaccination andmy CLL specialist team pushed out the unrelated vaccination two weeks.
I had the first Pfizer shot 14 days after my second shingrix shot. In line with my oncologist's recommendation. No issues. Age 59, diagnosed with CLL 2012, FCR 2016, ibuitinib since 2017.
