For info: Just had a big rant on government survey on women's health
People should also not be offered radioactive
iodine
treatment without fully understanding what else they could do to reduce their autoimmune response, and potentially support a healthy functioning thyroid. They should also be made aware of the cancer implications of having RAI treatment.

Pain
Hi I’m under investigation for PCOS. I’ve been put on the progesterone only pill so I’ve stopped bleeding, however I’m still getting agonising pain in my groin and the worst cramping. Has anyone else had this? Is there anything other than paracetamol and codeine that I can take? (Can’t take anti inflammatory

Getting stronger
Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks I have been home. I have had a fantastic follow up by a cardiac nurse, who gave me a right bollocking. Firstly for doing too much walking and for not taking the right amount of pain killers. I am now doing 2x15 min walks and started the full paracetamol and codeine dosage.

Hopefully no more injections 😃
I would be climbing the walls with pain all night after, we tried omitting
iodine
but made no difference. I often came to this site for advice which helped me so much with your kind comments. I decided that I would embark on losing some weight and getting fitter as this may have contributed.

More glycol trade names
My husband used some
iodine
solution.... I broke out like crazy after coming in contact with a single drop of it. I checked the label and it had something suspish: "Makon 8." What is that, I ask? Here is what I found. Polyethylene glycol ether.

Broken and Lost - awaiting urgent hysterectomy at 34
Today broke me!! My surgeon phoned for an over the phone consult (thanks covid) if you know my story I’ve been waiting since 2017 for a hysterectomy due to stage 4 or as I call it decimated stage Endo. I haven’t even met him in person since I was ‘urgently’ referred Nov 19! And he’s called twice both

Increased TSH
I have started adding more
iodine
based supplements lately and reintroduced seeds and gluten feee oats (I was on AIP) so I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it. Also I had the blood test first thing in the morning, fasted and after a pretty bad nights sleep so does this impact TSH levels?

Help needed in long term effects of RAI for Graves Disease, long term use of Levothyroxine and how I go about transitioning to NDT.
After 6 years on Propananol, Levothyroxine and Carbimazole, I had Radio Active
Iodine
in 2006 and have been on varying doses of Levothyroxine ever since. During my routine yearly blood test at the end of 2019 it was detected that I was anaemic.
