Is it possible to get rid of excess iodine in my body?
High
iodine
in my my body was caused by a drug, namely Amiodarone prescribed for afib. Stopped taking this drug on 10 August. This drug is toxic due to very high
iodine
content that stays in the body for a very long time (half life).

Would an iodine supplement help?
I still don't feel well (very tired and the most dreadful brain fog which has stopped me driving) and wondered how I would know if an
iodine
supplement might help? Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Latest Medichecks results - stopped taking b12 liquid 2 weeks before test.

Iodine - no thyroid.
I have just watched Dr Sarah Myhilll's thyroid video for the umpteenth time and have purchased some of her supplements even though some of them contain
iodine
. Any thoughts please?

Low fT4, but midrange fT3. Feeling cold, brain fog.
I read that fT4 low and fT3 midrange could mean to be
iodine
deficient. Currently, I do not take any Thyroxine, and have not before. Which way should I go? Take
iodine
, take T4 or T4/T3, a combination of these, or something different? Any ideas are welcome.

Hyperthyroidism symptoms
Since having several weeks
iodine
treatment on leg ulcer I started having a buzzing feeling in chest and sometimes thighs. Worse after eating. Making me feel very anxious. Gp did blood test for TSH level but came back normal (1.22). Have lost weight and wakes me at night too.

Hypothyroidism recovery time (Iodine deficiency induced) ?
I consulted a doctor and she gave me a supplement that contained
iodine
and I'm quite sure I had
iodine
deficiency because I was taking little salt. All in all I've been taking
Iodine
for 1 year and 9 months now , but not major improvement.

Amiodarone for a month: thyroid blood test results Looking for advice/comments Thank you!!
However Amiodarone has high
iodine
content so I will have excess
Iodine
in my system which I understand takes several months to flush out. Effects are lowering of thyroid hormone conversion (so Ft3 blood test result wouldve been helpful!! ) plus poorer uptake of thyroid hormonez in peripherals.

Iodine
I know there are discussions about the possibility of worsening Hashimotos but would there be a problem having a very low dose of it whilst on T3 and T4 meds if careful?

the praticionner who order it told me that my adrenals were suffuring too much about this situation and that I should have high reverse t3 (I’m waiting for the result) and adviced me to take adrenals glandular and replace levothyrox by
iodine
. I’m currently taking 50ug of levothyroxine.
