Hello everyone! I started treatment with NDT in t4 6 micrograms and t3 1.4 in December 2023. I tolerate it well and I'm happy about it! From my analysis done this month it turns out that my ft4 is 0.98 and ft3 is 2.69 and the tsh is 1.34... How do you find these analyses? My endocrinologist wants to give me a supplement that also contains iodine (but I know it's immunogenic so I'm not sure I want to take it). My thyroid has shrunk (hashimoto and "ord")... Then my autoantibodies were not very high (TPOs were greater than 30 and Tgab were 9) doing a gluten and dairy free diet etc. (for autoimmune diseases they dropped to TPOs less than 0.12 and TGABs less than 0.20). So I'm here to ask for advice, should I take this supplement? I'm worried about iodine 😐
Thank you to those who answer my question ♥️ (My English is from a "translator", I'm not a native speaker)

In my opinion, no, you shouldn't take it. You really don't need it and I can't imagine what your endo thinks it's going to do for you. As your thyroid will no-longer be making thyroid hormone, you need less iodine, not more. Plus you will be getting iodine from your NDT which is recycled in the body.

Impossible to comment without the ranges. A result without a range is meaningless because they vary from lab to lab. But your TSH is quite high for someone on NDT, so you are probably under-medicated.
I think you mean 6 mcg T4 and 1.4 mcg T3. So, that sounds like... 1/4 grain? Not even that. 1 grain is 60 mcg and contains about 38 mcg T4 and 9 mcg T3... I can't work it out. Which NDT are you taking? In any case, it doesn't sound enough.
My thyroid is completely atrophied (shrunk) and my antibodies low/none existent and I take iodine in a multivitamin pill just because it's there (not for its actual benefits) and I feel well.
However, if you worried I would suggest not taking iodine which can have some really horrible effects that can be difficult to recover from but asking for an iodine-free supplement as there are some on the market specially aimed for people with thyroid issues/Hashimotos, etc.
FT3 looks much higher than FT4. When taking NDT some of us have had to add some Levothyroxine back in to balance the FT4:FT3 ratio better. And difficult to comment on your levels without the lab range (number in brackets).
