Life after transplant
I read a lot about people struggling after transplant to get back to normal life and it’s clear that for many “normal” is not what they had before diagnosis. I don’t know if I am in a minority or we only tend to speak out when things are bad but my life is amazing now. My bloods are all in normal ranges

2 months until I start IUI
So I was at the fertility clinic today and the nurse told me that they aim to do my first IUI in October. My fear is, today they tried to do a blood test for CMV and couldn’t get any blood from me, tried twice before I fainted. I’m hoping this isn’t a regular thing but two weeks ago I fainted during

The coil
I had the coil fitted yesterday, I’m in a lot of pain still, I’m wondering what are other people’s experiences with the coil? How soon can you have a bath? How long have you bled for afterwards? Any side affects I need to be aware of? Thanks ladies :)

I had a phone call today with my NHS consultant, I have always suffered from heavy painful periods, excessive pain and very bad hormonal acne for as long I’ve had my periods from age 11 - I am now 23. I had a diagnostic laparoscopy last August to diagnose endometriosis (they didn’t find any) and they

IBS or bowel Endo?
This might be a silly question, but I’ve been on contraception since I was 15 (I’m now 22) due to bad period pain which would stop me from doing my normal daily activities and I’m currently on an IUD (Nexplanon) so I haven’t had a period in around 2 years and have been free from period pain. I have been

How long does it take for pain to subside after laparoscopy?
I had my 2nd laparoscopy 3rd July and was told they were able to successfully remove the endometriosis around both my ovaries and bowel. It’s been a painfully slow recovery, it’s been 7 weeks and I feel I should be further along by now. In the last week my lower back and the pains around my ovaries

Mirena Coil, Awful Cramps
Good afternoon! Hope you're all well :) I just had a question about the Mirena - I had mine put in 2 weeks ago during my laparoscopy. I know there are meant to be cramps and whatnot with them so I was fully prepared for the uncomfortableness that would ensue. But this is worse than when I had my endo

Logynon Ed weight and side effects
Hi guys, I’ve been on logynon Ed as a contraceptive pill for about four months and have noticed some changes in my weight and mood. Metformin
Hi, I have a telephone appointment with the gynaecology department of my hospital following a doctors appointment where I asked to be prescribed metformin for pcos. My periods are massively irregular and I suffer from acne. My bmi is in normal range and my hirutism is manageable. I am just wondering

New to all this
I’m new to all this so got so many questions. I’m waiting for a diagnosis for Endo but spoke to many doctors who have said that it’s more than likely is it. I had the coil removed in December to try for a baby but 3 weeks ago was put back on the pill to manage my pain. However, I’ve started with pains

Other options than mirena coil?
I am asking for some advice, I was first diagnosed with Endo in 2015 via laparoscopy where it was discovered on my bowel amongst other places and the coil was inserted. I also already have the implant but I was told to keep that in. After some months still had pain as well as new issues with my bowel

First run after graduating
Week 10 Run 1 as a graduate of @_couchto5k Felt really good to be running having completed the programme! It was a beautiful morning; misty and damp, cool and still. Found this dew-laden cobweb neatly encased in a coil of barbed wire by my favourite tree. Forgot to set my tracker until part way through

Job
Hi guys. I had treatment for endo last August, I also had a IDU inserted during this procedure. Everything was great until December when the pain started to return, I saw my consultant again in February who suspected Adenomyosis-the treatment plan for this is not something I am ready for being only 29

MDS and AML
Despite feeling lethargic and tired for over two years and going to the doctors on a regular basis and having over a dozen blood tests abd no referrals earlier we have had the awful news this week that my partner has both MDS and AML and goes into hospital today for 4/5 weeks of chemo with view to stem

Ntpobnp blood test
Hi all. I had a bone marrow transplant 2 years ago. It put stress on my heart. Last week i had a echocardiogram which has come back good!!! Though my bnp level is 600... i am 38. So too high. My consultant is not worried though. Does this sound right?? Does a high bnp always mean heart failure? Back
