Week 10 Run 1 as a graduate of @_couchto5k

Felt really good to be running having completed the programme! It was a beautiful morning; misty and damp, cool and still. Found this dew-laden cobweb neatly encased in a coil of barbed wire by my favourite tree.

Forgot to set my tracker until part way through but it was the same route as last week so about 5.5km.

I’m really interested in going further, going to take it easy and repeat 5k 3x a week for the mo, not quite sure on the next stage to 10k does anyone have any advice? 👍😊

Hi, take a trip across to the 'bridge to 10k' forum for advice on consolidation and future running goals 👍

Congratulations on completing c25k. This is the plan lots of people used to get to 10k. You can run the timed or distance version. Good luck 😊

Great photo. Agree with all above responses, following the advice on here, my longest distance is 11k. Still can’t quite believe it. Also, you should get your C25K graduate badge beside your name!

Wow 11k that must be an amazing feeling going so far! I’ve asked for my badge, I think there’s a bit of a wait though.

Nice. A wee badge helps. Yes, I’m very chuffed. I’m still not confident about running but have to remind myself of my achievements. Well done on your progress.

Amazing achievements! I guess confidence comes, I think I’m enjoying being more fit than I ever have been!!

Agree with all the comments below from my esteemed vrb's. Yes go have a try, get comfy at 5k then switch over. I didn't really wait long as the first few weeks are a gentle progression. Well done on graduating and go slow and steady for nearly all runs as this will make you go longer and feel more comfortable!
