How long does it take for pain to subside after laparoscopy?

I had my 2nd laparoscopy 3rd July and was told they were able to successfully remove the endometriosis around both my ovaries and bowel.

It’s been a painfully slow recovery, it’s been 7 weeks and I feel I should be further along by now.

In the last week my lower back and the pains around my ovaries and bowel have got a little worse.

I’m not sure if this is normal or not? I’m also on the coil so I don’t have ‘normal’ periods to know where I am in my cycle.

Any advice or share experiences of their recovery would be really appreciated x

Hi I’m really sorry your in so much pain still.

I would try not to wish your recovery away sadly everyone recovers differently. This is easy for me to say however with my second surgery looming on Friday I way be singing a different song next week 😂 xx
