Mom Scared/ Scans Show?
My mom is scared because before she already had dyalisis, and she overcame this cancer
intensive
care
thing she did not expect. Now thinking of having spread or breast cancer is scary to her since she is young and has my siblings and I.

In Hospice as of now.
My second attempt at setting up palliative/hospice care happened yesterday with a visit from the intake nurse from the new agency. She told me when she was still doing field work she had three cases of PSP. She actually knew something about the disease. I felt like this was the place we should be. Someone

Dad is losing his battle.
I’m so scared. Dad is getting palliative care at home. Every day he is deteriorating. New challenges. He’s breathless, low Hb, low platelets, fluids in his pleural cavity, lymph nodes are swollen, oedema, he coughs all the time. I’m besides myself with anxiety. I can’t bear to see him like that. This

Things I would have liked to know before my heart bypass. I hope some useful tips for others prior to their op. Or when recovering.
Things I feel that would have been useful to know beforehand (this is not an exhaustive list and I may remember some others, my operation was about 17 months ago) as follows: * I had nausea/sickness after the operation in the
intensive
care
ward and felt embarrassed about it - I was told by the excellent

Over 80, a month in the ICU
Dear all, I joined this group in order to find more information from people living through similar experience of having a loved one in
intensive
care
. My dad is 83 and he’s been hospitalised for 30 days now. He is in what seems to be vegetative state followed by two weeks in a coma.

On W&W until 2017 when I had one cycle of FCR, after a bad reaction in
intensive
care
with neutropenic sepsis I recovered and in remission for 18 months until now. My blood counts during this remission have been reasonably stable, around the 130 HGB and below 9 WBC.
