Need ideas post Xtandi and Zytiga
We had our first telehealth FaceTime call with the local MO yesterday to discuss my husband’s John’s recent bloodwork. He has been on Zytiga with dexamethasone and we knew his PSA was rising. It jumped 5 points in 6 weeks to 15.16 so the doc said to stop Zytiga and dexa and pretty much accept that

Palliative care
I really don't know why I'm on palliative care, I am not getting support from palliative care team in fact I dont have anything to do with them. Only have treatment and oncology appointment.

Bone Mets or Arthritis?
Hello all, I’m increasingly confused about how radiologists differentiate between PC bone mets and routine degenerative changes like arthritis. Bear with me... My husband’s initial CT scan on 8/19 stated “Lytic lesion is seen in T7 as seen on the recent bone scan. A lytic lesion in the right L5 vertebral

I am beginning to wonder if the coronavirus has been active much longer than admitted?
In december i lost my sweet dear father who didn’t respond to antibiotics and a ventilator in
intensive
care
he died from sepsis We assumed it was flu – but was it? There were no checks as the dreaded word “coronavirus” hadn’t been mentioned yet...

PORTOS
I’m beginning week 3 of IMRT after a small uptick in my PSA from .01 to .03. Things are going well but in my head I am bugged by the fact that I had a low PORTOS score associated with my DECIPHER GRID. Neither my urologist nor either of the two RO’s I spoke with before treatment seemed very interested

Decision Matrix Conundrum
So I completed IMRT to my left hemi-pelvis with boost to 2 nodes there that lit up on Ga-PSMA scan last October. Used adjuvant ADT with degarelix plus estradiol patches. Approximately 5-6 months until T levels recovered. Post RT my PSA fell by about half (.25 to .15 and staying there for 3 months now

We’ve moved a whole
intensive
care
unit and 4 other wards in 3 days flat – this sort of change usually takes at least 6 months to get agreed! I think we need to worry about our elderly relatives but not our age group or our kids.

CORONAVIRUS AND THE ANTIPHOSPHOLIPID (HUGHES’) SYNDROME (APS)INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS
Estimates suggest between 20-49% of severe covid-19 patients in
intensive
care
settings have thrombosis despite prophylactic heparin so the rate seems to be much higher than expected.

OMG.. Pain Specialist gone from cancer center
I finally had my onco get me into palliative care. I only had three appts. so far with her and was scheduled to go back on 4/7 for her to see me to write another rx for my percocets. I already have an appt. with the oncology center (same bldg.) this Thursday. I wanted to see if the pain specialist

ELASTIC BANDS AND WATER BOTTLES !
I've just received my letter from Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who, as I write is being treated in
intensive
care
for COVID 19. All very sobering and as our movements outside our homes is even more restricted, keeping fit, or at least active, is becoming more challenging.

1916 - Ann - (aka Liz)
Hi Al Liz was my guiding light as we first walked this path. She was a few months ahead of me on our journeys. So as I faced my op, then chemo, I always had the knowledge Liz has done this, Liz is older than me if she can get through this bit, I can do it. She was such an inspiration. Our paths crossed
