31 weeks pregnant and for the last 2 weeks I've been on a roller coaster .. I have gestational diabetes and intake insulin and metroformin morning and night .. The dose of insulin has gone from 4-12 within a week as my fasting and after breakfast levels are still sky high. I was just wondering how early

DEXCOM: Week 34 (DEXCOM: semana 34)
So, this is week 34 of using the DEXCOM. Sorry I hadn't had the chance to sit down and type this sooner, but I was really busy. De este modo, esto es la semana 34 de usar el DEXCOM. Lamentable no había tenido la posibilidad de sentarme y escribir a máquina esto más pronto, pero estaba realmente ocupado

New to Diabetes

I would appreciate any help and information as I feel everyone is telling me different and make it very confusing for someone who is new to Diabetes. I have asked about the difference in blood sugar readings and someone

total confusion
So I went to see a so called top doctor in Belgium the other day, supposedly one of the best. Before going there, I had extensive labs done (blood and 24 h urine). I feel pretty well overall, work full-time, lead a normal life...I feel tired from time to time, but who doesn't...?! Anyway, it seems

Sugar And Your Anxiety Levels!
Hi everyone thought I'd add a few things here related to sugar and your anxiety. Sugary foods quickly get absorbed into the bloodstream which may cause an initial 'high' or increase in energy, but soon will wear off as the body increases the production of insulin, leaving you feeling tired and low. The

Would I Qualify For Benefits?
Good day folks! Sometimes I go through the most horrible of times. It's completely unpredictable, but utterly devastating when it happens. No warnings, nothing. I wake up and it's there and nothing will shift it. Cue days of agony, distress, no appetite, no sleep and being bedridden in a dark room.

DHEA...not sure what to think?!
I stumbled on this extremely interesting article on DHEA: http://www.drdebe.com/articles/dhea-the-real-story In the past four years, I have seen two so called Hertoghe doctors. When I went to see them, I had been on T4 drugs for about ten years, so it was already established that I suffered from hypothyroidism

Fasting Part 3
I hope by now given you an insight into the reasons we get fat and T2 diabetic. Fasting and LCHF is a vastly complex or really simple depending whether you want the science or just want results. Out of necessity I have simplified the process, but this is enough of an outline to shift perspective and

Fasting Part 2.
Before continuing on the insulin theme I think I should expand on the dangers of fasting. Here’s a snippet of an article I just pulled from Google: “After 72 hours: Muscle wasting begins. In an effort to save the brain, the body starts to dissolve itself, turning muscles into glucose. Other serious

Fasting
There is increasing interest in the science and application of fasting with regard to general health and diabetes in particular. This is a short introduction to the subject in the hope that it will spur people to researching the subject themselves. I originally intended to cover the subject in one post
