Covid Again - Watch this Space - Summary
Well here we are 27 days since my original post, having 2 x Negative tests in a row. Here are the summary points of what I have learnt. 1/ You can get through if immune suppressed it but it’s a long journey. And a lot will depend on your Viral Load. I personally don’t think mine was very high because

Our Journey
So my beautiful wife and companion for over 30yrs has decided that she needs some time in a hospice, she began this journey with Symptoms in 2019 but we didn't get to see a Neurologist who knew what he was talking about until 2023 as the initial one in 2019 said she had Fybromyalgia and stress/tiredness

Persistent Symptoms
Hi all, First time posting but looking for some help as really struggling to find anything that works. For almost 2 years now I have been struggling with gut issues. It’s not clear how and why it started, but I have two theories; 1) It is a reaction to having a strong antibiotic to clear up a fungal

FDA Could Soon Limit Use of Only Drug for COVID Prevention - i.e.,Pemivibart may have reduced activity against growing variant KP.3.1.1
As an update to several earlier posts about the use of Pemivibart for COVID. It seems the FDA is about to limit its use to only as a pre-exposure prophylaxis agent for COVID-19 in immunocompromised patients. Here is the MedPage article dated August 27, 2024 in full: * * * [i]MedPage Today - Infectious

My depression has gotten worse
I've been fighting depression for decades. I know my signs. I don't want to leave my house. I am spending a lot of time in bed. I really have to rally every morning to make it to my 3 hour job. I've been experiencing exhaustion to the point of having trouble walking. I am being tested for long covid.

Back to trace blood in urine again! I am at my lowest ebb yet.
So I was doing ok over a month ago. Not perfect but ok. Everything has really gone to S**t! So as part of my symptoms I was dealing with frequent urination bladder pain, with trace blood. That had all begun to settle down. I was sleeping through the night again. The blood in dipstick tests was tiny

aortic leaky heart valve
hi, I would love to hear if anyone has a aortic leaky valve/aortic regurgitation. It doesn’t seem to be as prevalent as other heart conditions. Aortic stenosis is the more common one and more easily dealt with by having an operation. I was diagnosed with moderate leaky valve at beginning of Covid

Broke My Clavicle
Hi Everyone, I went on a bike ride yesterday. My front wheel hit something and I fell. Scrapes, and broken clavicle. Bad timing, as I am planning my daughter’s wedding for Sept. 7th. I’m currently on 2 mg. pred. Also have been on Actemra, although I suspended it while getting over Covid. I’m about to

Covid in the house
I have just started Zanubrutinib 3 months ago and I don't want to pause it at this point, but there is covid in my house and I'm worried I might get it. Are any of the current covid treatments OK to take at the same time as Zanubrutinib? I believe zanu must be paused during Paxlovid treatment. john

Worried I have covid
I decided to buy covid test. The first test I took looks like there’s a line but then I used a different brand and the second test shows I’m negative. I’m just so stressed because I move tomorrow. My boyfriend is supposed to come tonight and stay with me and help with the move to our place. I don’t want

Covid
Has anyone had Covid recently and found it’s hit them much harder than previous bouts? I’m wondering if it’s because it’s been a year since I was last vaccinated? Currently 2 weeks in, on steroids and think I probably have a chest infection too!

After 25 years they have stopped my B12 - what can I do?
I'm in my early sixties. Generally very good health. On no medication. About twenty five years ago my then brilliant GP did a blood test for B12. A few days later rang me to come to the surgery immediately where he injected B12 himself. Apparently I had dangerously low levels of B12 that indicated I
