Vitamin D does not help in preventing T2 Diabetes
Vitamin D supplements in large doses don't prevent Type 2 Diabetes- A large study indicates. Nowadays, the physicians around the world prescribe Vitamin D level Test for all people in general and especially type 2 diabetes and invariably most of the result is very low level of vitamin D in blood. This

B12 deficiency and hyperthyroidism
Is there any evidence to show that B12 deficiency can cause hyperthyroidism? Trying to understand what's going on with me 🙈 Thankyou

Low Sex Drive
Has anybody else experienced low sex drive with b12 deficiency? My sex drive has been low for years and I believe this can be associated with b12 deficiency. I've been supplementing b12 for a full month now but the libido hasn't really returned. Any experience out there?

Igennus Super B complex or a multivitamin when only needing modest B12 supplementation to achieve a good level of B12
Hi everyone, The whole B12 issue has raised its head again with me and I'm hoping for some advice. Three months ago I stopped taking my Holland and Barrett multivitamin in an attempt to see if I actually did need to supplement B12 and folate. At that time my B12 and folate levels were both a little over

Got my test results back. B12 >2000
Hey everybody. Been a frequent poster here for the last month since I was diagnosed with low b12 (159) and anemia. Been supplementing for a little under a month with injections (12 so far) and daily oral b12 (sublingual and tablet). I've been having issues with my ears ringing very loudly since

Help to read blood test results, please.
I wrote a post last year, on behalf of my daughter, who has been experiencing symptoms of hypothyroidism for some considerable time now. Sadly, her GP is adamant that there's nothing wrong with her thyroid and has been dosing her with all sorts of other medication, to try and alleviate the symptoms,

How to use the term "Pernicious Anaemia" correctly
Over time, old medical terms (such as Alzheimer's dementia) take on a new meaning as research makes new findings. I wonder about Pernicious Anaemia as I can never be sure if a web page or article is using an out of date meaning or not. Speaking as rigorously as possible ...

Is there any association with B12 deficiency and sensitivity to oxalates?
I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency last year, and taking 1,000 mcg sublingual methyl B12 since then has been a miracle. Lately I think I have discovered a connection between some of my kidney and urinary discomfort symptoms and high oxalate foods (chocolate, nuts, beans, some berries, etc.). Is there

Vitamin D doses and testing, help please
I have some questions about vit D and would be very grateful for your knowledgeable replies. 1. On the vit D council website there is a table that tells you how much vit D to take daily to increase your level to a certain amount. However, it doesn't say anywhere (that I can find) how long you take it

Hydroxocobalamin injection frequency, and are patches a recommended/viable addition to my needs? Your recommendations, sources, experiences?
Hi all, I am B12 deficient (which was initially suspected in December 2018, following declining health), with prior 6 month history of worsening peripheral neuropathy, worsening exercise intolerance, syncope and frequent pre-syncope and long standing (at least until I started on B12 replacement in December

Dryness around the side of the nose?
Hello everyone, Can dryness/itchiness around the sides of the nose something common with b12 deficiency. The sides of my nose next to my nostrils can get very dry and very itchy to the point that I'll have to put vaseline on it in order to not go crazy. I'm not sure if this is b12 deficiency or another
