Has anybody on this site had unexplained instances of peeling skin on the hands and feet. Can this be due to b12 deficiency pernicious anaemia folate deficiency vitamin d deficiency or any other deficiency?

SKIN PEELING
I've also had peeling skin on my nose that looks like sun burn. Hands have been okay but on feet bit too. I think for me it's the b12 injections. My levels for folate and vit D okay. Other wise ferritin on the low side . Odd but then so are the spots I get from injections
Are you on B12 injections?
The skin issue I developed after starting B12 was photosensitivity. My skin breaks out in hives about 3-6 hours after exposure to direct sunlight. The hives turn into eczema which is super sensitive to UV light. Takes about 2 weeks to subside. Skin peels if I use sunscreen under SPF 50.
I've had peeling at fingertips and on nose with low B12 levels.
For years now I have learnt that I have to wear the thin nitrile "examination" type gloves for just about everything to control that on my hands. No amount or type of cream is effective.
My lips used to be terrible but are pretty good now and I can usually control it with lipsalve with sunscreen in.
Before getting enough treatment I used to get tiny blisters (ultra painful) between my toes if I did too much - it was a good way of my body stopping me from doing anything else until they'd healed! Now my feet aren't too bad but they always live in cotton socks and heavy duty work boots so don't get much exposure!
Saying that though, if I get too tired or my supporting supplements get out of balance the skin sloughs off my bits (which makes going to the loo very painful) and I promise they don't get any exposure!! 😲😜. I just guess it's just because the skin is more delicate.
I SI daily so always have plenty of B12 but have to get everything else right (I have a range of absorption problems) to make it work properly.
The processes of DNA synthesis, nerve function and energy release that use B12 all need a wide range of vitamins and minerals to work properly, therefore cell replication for good skin and skin repair doesn't work without B12 and its supporting supplements so it makes sense that if you are significantly deficient in anything it can disrupt the action of the B12 and cause all sorts of problems anywhere in your body.
i always get terrible peeling skin on hands and 2-3 weeks before my 12 weekly b12 injection and have done for 21 years. Im hoping now i've started self injecting more frequently this is one symptom that will stop
