Tomorrow nephrologist appt. first visit
Tomorrow is my first appt with a Nephrologist. I referred myself, as my PCP is not taking my 3 month GFR range 52-57, dehydration, and anemia very seriously. His advice? Drink tons of h20 with lemon and reduce protein intake a lot. My potassium, sodium, and protein levels are normal. Blood pressure is

Earlier Part of Morning in the Loo
Plan to eat very little the night before, get up very early, then take an
Imodium
before I go out. Last year I gave up a regular activity that started at 9am. Reluctant but just too tricky for me. I suppose feeling more confident about doing things later in the day has to be a positive thing.

RECENT EPISODE on 24 January 2020
Though I had experience of knocking sensation before but last Friday's episode was really dreadful after my dinner. On sitting I felt a pressure on mid-chest area, it was something like I have been locked from inside and can get relief if I have some belching. Noted the BP which was high 180/70 HR 78

Raynauds Disease, Positive ANA, normal complement levels, I'm lost.
Hello :) I was just diagnosed with Raynauds and tested positive for elevated ANA titer. I don't know by how much because I was not given the results. My doctor emailed me and told me to get more blood drawn. All of my CBC bloodwork came back normal. Glucose, magnesium, sodium, all normal range. ESR perfect

Subarachnoid haemorrhage
I had a valve replacement in 2018 with good recovery. In October I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage with similar symptoms prior to it happening. Yet again symptoms ignored by GP. Severe hypertension, low potassium and high sodium. Passed out in the street. 10 day stay in hospital after diagnosis.

Worried
I posted last week about my husband’s diarrhoea well when we saw the doc it had calmed down a bit and he said he could prescribe
Imodium
but was concerned that he then became constipated which was worse for him.

A BONUS EPISODE FROM SUPPLEMENTS REVEALED
I think we often feel lost and alone when our symptoms flare and no one to turn to. This series has been comforting and offers us hope because these doctors who are also biochemists or microbiologists are trying to find ways to help us in this journey and search for our best life. https://supplementsrevealed.com

Feeling on top of the world
Hello Ladies, I haven't posted for a while but I have news! I went for a scan last Wednesday and had a meeting with my oncologist on Thursday. The first thing he said was: 'We have your scan results'. I was not expecting them for another month but there was more. 'There is no measurable disease, a couple

Back In The Bed
I have been feeling great for a while but that came to an end, I spent all of last week in bed. I woke up feeling very fatigued i just couldn’t move around without feeling I was going to fall, I didn't go to the doctor because whenever I've gone because of how I am feeling they always say, they are not

IBS what can u get on prescription?
I currently buy galvascon, buscopan,
imodium
instants and
imodium
plus. Which is costing me a fair chunk out of my universal credit each month. Can anyone advise what I can get pescriptions for and if there are any other meds as I'm new to IBS and trying to manage it.

Leading pain doctor says no significant pain relievers for at least ten years.
A post I read in the newsletter Pain News Network, a leading doctor/scientist in the field of pain management stated that in her professional opinion there will not be a significant replacement pain reliever for at least ten years, or more. Seems Big Pharma is running out of options for pain relievers

Stability and Compatibility Studies of Levothyroxine Sodium in Solid Binary Systems-Instrumental Screening
This is the sort of study that should have been done years ago. (At least, to the extent that the analytical techniques of the day were sensitive enough). And repeated as new analytical techniques became available. The sentence below, taken from the conclusions, is so obvious it is frightening that

Intestinal noise
I have been taking one
imodium
a week at 8am which amazingly, along with small amounts of veg and fruit and most carbs has made me very comfortable. Its only after a week my intestines seem to go back to their games of gas, cramps and general upset.

vitamin b12 supplement
Hi, I'm new here & need some help. I think I'm still stage 3 CKD & have been watching sodium, potassium, phosphorus & protein. I am concerned that I'm not getting enough vitamins. I already had multiple food allergies before CKD but my B-12 levels had been normal. Can anyone suggest a brand of supplements
