Right Upper Quadrant Pain?
I joined this community about a month ago and, rather than simply reading different threads, have finally mustered the courage to post a question. Of all the threads I've read so far, there are many people who appear to have similar stories – although, I've never been able to find out how their stories

Blood test results
Hi, in my recent blood test results calcium, potassium and sodium levels were above normal range (all others, including LFT, ALT were normal range). I try to follow low sodium diet. GP has asked for repeat test. Has anyone else have similar results. So far only diagnosis is mild to high Fibrosis.

Imodium question
So planning on taking a couple of
Imodium
before hand. Hoping that will see me through. My question is how long before I leave the house. Should I take them? To be the most effective.

Interference of anti-streptavidin antibodies in immunoassays: a very rare phenomenon or a more common finding?
The issue with biotin interfering with blood tests has been much discussed. Now a paper which suggests that interference by anti-streptavidin antibodies is more common than thought. Unfortunately, whereas with biotin we can do something (stop taking biotin for a few days before a test), with these

Cerebral angiogram
Having had an aortic valve replacement in January 2018. My bloods have been showing low potassium and high sodium. My GP decided to stop Indapamde. At that point my BP went extremely high resulting in a dramatic collapse in the street and bilateral sub arachnoid haemmorage. BP 248/118. Three CT scans

Update from miserable w Vegan
Hi everyone, I thank all of you for your good advice. I finally got a second opinion and a renal dietician, they allowed me to eat fish and chicken 2 to 3 times a week with limited portions. I found it extremely weird that I felt 10x worse after seeing my old doctor. I had non stop headaches, leg pain

Early Hypo/Hashi's Complicated By Adrenal/Low Cortisol
Greetings everyone: Finally got fed up with my family doctor who knows nothing and went two routes - endocrinologist (my doctor reluctantly gave a referral) and naturopath. Symptoms I have just about every symptom of hypothyroidism I have ever read and I am confirmed Hashi's by antibodies and ultrasound

Best bone supplements
I never know which supplements to take, or which are good. Can anyone recommend? Does anyone take this one? I have osteopenia age 45 through having my ovaries removed post cancer, and am very keen to stop any further bone loss. This forum is amazing, thanks so much for all the posts and advice. :) Rundown

IBS-D Any suggestions other than Imodium?
I have suffered from IBS-D for a few years and manage it as best I can with
Imodium
. If I am going out for the day or for long periods of time, I take
Imodium
as preventative measures, just in case I get taken short.

IBS basics for beginners
Dear all, I have recently been suffering from excess burping and stomach pains for which I became dependent on Nexium for a couple of weeks. I have recently found that this is due mainly to changing from almond milk to lactose free milk, and also because I have been drinking a lot of decaff tea and
