Given up asking for help
I have now resorted to coping by taking
Imodium
after I promised myself I would never do this. I've tried 3 different dr's in the same surgery and none really seem bothered. I suggested maybe I have an intolerance to something and was told that it would take months if not years to determine that.

Sweating
Hello, I am really suffering with sweating day and night. I get some swelling in my legs which goes down overnight. My bloods have all come back ok although my sodium was 144. My gp has been very dismissive and I am really scared about going to see them again. Has anyone else suffered with severe sweating

Hyperthyroid Recently Diagnosed
Hi , first time joining any group. This condition is new to me. Do anyone find they are tired, weak and insomnia. Taking thyroid meds and just put on beta blocker. Symptoms of racing heart and sweats. How long do it take to feel better? Also low sodium showed on blood work. Guess due to thyroid issues

Still on the chemo once a week
His doctor has had him take
Imodium
and a prescription strength diarrhea medication. It has helped , but he's not 100%. He feels tired a lot, and has been feeling down lately. It really hurts to see him this way. I try and support him as much as possible and remind him he will beat this.

Needing some help/advice
He is taking
Imodium
which helps. However, tonight he didn't even make it to the bathroom... and you can imagine what that was like. He is currently on carboplastin for chemo. Has anyone had any stomach issues with this?

Information on Fludrocortisone
To all my community friends. You have been so kind with your support and concern. I give you a report back on my experience with fludrocortisone. I suffer from low blood pressure that is thought to be possibly neurogenic in origin. I was treated with the above drug for symptomatic relief only. The

Soft Drinks
Hi fellow sufferers, Has anyone ever had a problem with soft drinks. I am not great at drinking water or fizzy soda drinks and last night my wife decided that I should be consuming more liquid. She produced a bottle of the Oasis brand of a summer fruits non-fizzy soft drink. It tasted fine and throughout

Help to get balanced supplements
Just wanting to know if anyone has advice. Its all so complex and sometimes the information I find is quite contradictory. However, on the basis I am trying to optimize my health and have started on a T4 T3 combo I am trying to get a supplement regime that supports conversion and reduces high antibody

More Results via GP
GP actually made a home visit to see me last week and ran yet another lot of bloods, why I don't know. The nurse arrived unannounced the following morning quite early. I wasn't expecting her and had taken my 100mcg Levo and either 5mcg or 10mcg (can't remember) T3 around 6-7hrs earlier as I take mine

Planning a pregnancy at 40 with Bipolar 2
Hi everyone, Is there anyone out there who has planned a pregnancy without being on meds? I've come off valproate (depakote) 4 months ago and am taking nortryptiline 75 mg and olanzapine 2.5 mg, following advice of my psychiatrist. Thankfully, I feel well. Has anyone been referred to a peri natal clinic

Is finger prick blood testing accurate?
It's not me dissing finger prick testing here as I myself have used Blue Horizon and Medichecks over the last year for thyroid testing and my gp happily accepts them but I'm not sure he realises they're a finger prick result. Anyway a friend of mine messaged me today saying she wouldn't trust them as

hyponatremia on tambocor
According to Wikipedia, Hypotnatremia is essentially dehydration caused by drinking too much water - which causes your sodium levels to drop too low. I am travelling for work at the moment. I spent last Saturday (9 days ago) walking around Dubai and drinking bottled water to combat the thirst. I think

Thinking outside the box
UrsaP Kitten1978 juniperex marigold22 This is just an idea. But after reading numerous reports involving the influence big pharma have over gps and more significantly for us, over CCG's. Perhaps we are lobbying the wrong people. Should we perhaps start to lobby Concordia to promote liothyronine
