Running out of road....
... I've got a consultation with my oncologist tomorrow. I've huge respect for him - he's been with me throughout this 'journey' from initial diagnosis 14 yrs ago. But, he tends to follow SOC (although will support me in straying from the path. I'd welcome some suggestions before I talk to him. My situation

The new plan is to combination of dual
immunotherapy
with two
immunotherapy
drugs nivolumab and ipilimumab. Has anyone gone through a similar journey when 1st line treatment didn't work and pivoted?

Looking for suggestion of clinical trials for mCRPC
Interested in joining trials that involve PARP inihibitors,
immunotherapy
, or other new/novel therapies. Can any of you suggest trials currently accepting candidates. My PSA was undetectable (<0.01) for about 5 years, but in the last 4 quarters it began to creep up.

what’s typically after taxotere?
Does he then do
immunotherapy
? Also, if it is
immunotherapy
- which should I advocate for as being his first treatment? It looks like our insurance already authed Keytruda, but from what I can loosely understand online, Yervoy may be better?

Monoamine oxidase A (MAOA): A promising target for prostate cancer therapy
between MAOA and the androgen receptor (AR)
to restore enzalutamide sensitivity
, blocks glucocorticoid receptor (GR)- and AR-dependent PCa cell growth, and is a potential strategy for immune checkpoint inhibition, thereby alleviating immune suppression and enhancing T cell immunity-based cancer

Why is provenge (immunotherapy) not used in the beginning of treatment
The research i've done showed provenge (
immunotherapy
) as an option but it seems like this treatment is not done in the beginning but only when other treatments stop working, I am wondering why that is? Why not start
immunotherapy
in the beginning of the treatment? Thank you

Would you be interested in new support if you have a mutation driven lung cancer, or have surgery as a treatment?
if you are interested in either of these two topics, if you would like to be part of a programme for those on
immunotherapy
or another treatment, or are caring for someone please do get in touch.

So the beast has returned - In summary, after a 2 year ADT vaca, my PSA started to climb so i was tracking it monthly. I also got to Mayo and they did a PSMA/CAT in october (PSA=0.2)- that they "said" was clean. In March PSA went to 1.5 so we did another scan at the end of April- and I have two mets

BAT in Argentina
Among the advantages of using BAT, is the good tolerance to treatment, and this makes its combination with different agents such as new hormonal agents or
immunotherapy
feasible.

Autoimmunity and psychotic disorders
For most with autoimmune thyroid issues, the treatment entirely ignores autoimmunity and solely focuses on hormone levels. Which can leave us almost forgetting there are medicines which are used in some autoimmune diseases. This trial should remind us. And make us ask if some of the psychological/psychiatric

• Regular genetic testing from Foundation One, Amgen and Tempus indicate a rare mutation with no viable options for any type of
immunotherapy
. I have been taken off all cancer treatments now.

Abscopal cryo-immunotherapy trial
As the cells in the tumor die they release antigens that the immune system, with the assistance of
immunotherapy
drugs, can recognize. the immune system then can mount a response to the cancer wherever it is in the body. It's a trial for all types of solid tumors, including prostate.
