Hi,
My partner of 26 years has stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. He has been fighting it for 10 years He is 74. He had it removed immediately, 10yrs ago - Gleason was a 9. He did low dose chemo following that and so many drugs on and off over the years as well as Lupron which has left him without muscle mass.
He had 39 rounds of radiation, developed bladder cancer from that . We seem to have gotten that under control ASAP. Had some cancer removed that had not spread out bladder wall.
He has always had a low PSA but it starting rising while waiting for treatment - months and months to have more chemo at UCSF - then it spread to his liver and a few lymphs. He did 10 rounds of chemo at UCSF and finished a few months ago. His Psa just jumped 25 points.
He has had two rounds of Pluvicto at UCSF and we feel we may get the news that he is not a good candidate for this drug. If we are told this, then it is more chemo or a clinical trial if we can get in? Maybe immunotherapy which does not have such a good track record for prostate cancer. Any thoughts? Or maybe it is acceptance and do nothing. He is so tired of being tired and being poked and prodded - but then the next day is rearing to go and searching for something to extend life.
Anyone out there try a hyperbaric home oxygen chamber not for a cure to to feel better during the letting go process or high dose vitamin C infusion or any other cocktails? Any using Cannabis for pain? THC or CBD. Feeling like this is the end.
