Hi Melaxx ,

No!

It is advised that you DO NOT make any changes to your prescribed lupus medications in an attempt to reduce your risk of contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19). It is important to remember that if your lupus becomes active then this may also increase your risk of picking up infection.

If you are concerned that you have developed symptoms of the coronavirus then please take advice from your rheumatologist regarding what medication is safe to continue.

Further advice can be found at lupusuk.org.uk/coronavirus/

I have drafted updates for this article based on today's new announcements and am awaiting medical review before publishing them. I'll post in this community when our updated guidance is available.

By the grace of god, do NOT stop your medications dear Melaxx. The Founded great Administrator,Paul, and the very very wise and informative PMRpro, are giving you the absolute correct protocol advice.. I myself had to visit my Specialist today, at the Hospital. Going there was challenging in it self. My body shook, my hands trembled to walk among the mortals of the good Lord. As it is a Saint Jones Hospital. Believe me ,when I share this truth with you, I did NOT want to go. But I did, because it was that important and the right thing to do. So I am on immunosuppressant medication now for COPD, and LUPUS. I can feel where you may be coming from Melaxx, truly. You see your care is just as important to keep-up with as is everyone's here. Stay focused, and balanced. We in this special place are all here for you. I send you my prayers, peace, and blessings, thestormy sunshine:)

No as previous said it may leave you open to picking up an infection, also if you do get it the body might over react to the infection.
