PGT-A or not? Is ICSI worth it?
I am now just having huge doubts about PGT-A,
ICSI
and IMSI. Do they really add any benefit? Do the risks of embryo damage outweigh the benefits? Should we just do another standard round of IVF and risk a miscarriage (I had one on round 3)?

Pros & cons to testing early
I've had two
ICSI
cycles both with fresh transfers. The first transfer was 1 embryo in August 2020 and the second transfer was 2 embryos in November 2020 but both failed and I never tested early on either like they advice us not to.

Just wanted to say how glad I am to have found this forum as my first attempt at
Icsi
this year would have been so much more scary without the reassurance and encouragement you have all given me.

When does the worry end?!
I'm currently 14wks pregnant after my second round of IVF(
ICSI
). Our first round resulted in only one viable embryo and a mmc at 7 weeks. Absolutely devastated. Second round produced two eggs from which we got 2 embryos. Transfered one of them on day 3.

How many blastos is ānormalā?
Weāve done 5 rounds of IVF/
ICSI
but only ever managed to get 1 or 2 x 5-day blastocysts developed each time, all of which have failed apart from one where we had a chemical pregnancy. How do these results fit in the general picture?

Help feeling overwhelmed
I am 45 have had one lot of unsuccessful
icsi
back in Nov and have 1 blastocyst left to try with so should be due to start again as soon as I have my period. My withdrawal bleed was Nov 18th and Iāve had no period since.

No fertilization on 1st day turned to one normal embryo by day 3 lab report, any experience? Is this common?
We did
ICSI
4 days ago and on day first lab reported 2 out of 3 mature eggs fertilized but now yesterday on day 3 they called me and said that you have 3 embryos developing normal!

Real chances at 44?
I had one fresh cycle in autumn which failed. 16 eggs collected with
icsi
, we had 4 blastocysts - 2 good / 2 not so good. Fresh and frozen cycles both failed (another frozen cycle back in Feb was a mmc). Iām currently in a fresh cycle.

Artificial Oocyte Activation.
As far as my research goes its basically a 'Calcium Bath' that my egg is dipped in once injected using
ICSI
. This method can assist whether it is my egg, or hubby's sperm that is struggling to activate. I really didn't want to use
ICSI
again, but willing to try anything! X

Anyone had chromosome karyotype testing and was it useful?
Because of our āshockingā results (dr doesnāt help with her choice of words) - ie 5 rounds of IVF/
ICSI
where weāve had huge drop offs in embryo development, our dr has advised chromosome karyotype testing. She canāt explain our results otherwise.

When is the best time to have progesterone level checked for a transfer?
For my two
ICSI
long protocol fresh transfers Iāve bled before my OTD. Doctor said itās different with a natural FET as I produce my own progesterone so he doesnāt want to up from 1x lubion and 2x pessaries per day.

Bilateral varicocele surgery - Does it improve IVF ICSI results?
Hi, we have had 2 failed cycles of IVF +
ICSI
and seems like the quality of our embryos need to be improved.

āPackageā cost of ivf - unfair for people who are returning patients!
I had my most recent two cycles with the same clinic who do an ivf package cost or an
ICSI
package cost which includes all bloods and initial screenings etc.

WTF consultation tomorrow after 3 failed transfers, any suggestions on what to ask or suggest for next steps?
I previously had two fresh transfers after two back to back
ICSI
egg collection cycles. Grade was a 5BC on one of them. Then a double transfer of a 5AA and a 5BA on the other with glue.

Motility and Vitamins
Motility has come back at 21% progressive 9% non progressive 70% immotile The clinic are suggesting ivf and not
icsi
as everything else looks ok with 5% morphology. What vitamins can I put him on to help the motility? Thanks in advance xx

Familiar anxiety - on cusp of 3rd cycle
I'm switching to
ICSI
this round, even though our fertilisation rates are normal, we're looking for any option to up the odds that my smaller number of eggs will produce embryos. Back to the short protocol with the addition of Letrozole from Day 2 (similar to Clomid as I understand).

Appointment with IVF Nurses - ICSI- Should I carry on working in the two week wait?
Hi all, me and my husband have been trying for a baby for 4 years. Next week on the 5th of March is our appointment with the IVF nurses where we will start our injections. Now I work as secondary school teacher and by then (embryo transfer) schools will most probably be open, I have to go up and down
