AMH 9.4 but only 4-5 eggs each cycle.

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the same and if they can offer any help. We are male factor (very high DNA fragmention) Therefore I need lots of eggs to help our case.

My AMH 9.4 - I am 35, and this is average I believe. (correct me if I am wrong)

My first ICSI cycle (250 Menopur) I got 5 eggs, 2 blasts, 2 failed implantation.

I am on my second egg collection cycle now (he increase my stims to 300 Meriofert) and I have 4 follicles on tract on Day 6. No small ones.

He just said sometime the AMH does not reflect your egg reserve. (which annoyed me as I thought that was the whole point of the test)

He thinks if I were to do another cycle and increase drugs again I might still just always get 4-5 eggs per cycle.

Is there any other ways increase the number of eggs per cycle?

Has anyone else has the similar AMH and had only a few eggs?

Anyone have few eggs and male factor DNA frag can offer and advise on success?

Hey, I have a similar AMH (9.73). I’m 30, so I was a little disappointed with that but apparently it is normal (just low/normal) for my age. I retrieved 7 eggs and was very fortunate that all 7 fertilised and 6 made it to blastocysts. My consultant was expecting more eggs than the 7, but said it was quality over quantity which settled me.

We also have male factor (sperm morphology) problems, though with each new blood test they seem to find something off with me too so that may explain why I’ve had two failed transfers and a miscarriage also 🤷🏻‍♀️

My AMH is around 13 and I get about 8 mature eggs per cycle, but for me increasing stims makes things worse not better, the one cycle where I had 300 Meriofert instead of 225 we only got 4 mature eggs! I completely understand your frustration about male factor infertility and needing more eggs because so few fertilise/survive (my husband has only 7% sperm with low DNA damage) but I don't have any answers I'm afraid. After three unsuccessful cycles we're moving on to donor sperm. I guess you could think about trying long protocol and seeing if that leads to more eggs? I've never done it myself, only short. But based on my experience I would agree with your dr that increasing dosage of hormones doesn't increase the number of usable eggs xx
