Little money spent on DMO research it all goes on AMD
I have DMO diabetic macular oedema a condition caused because my diabetes team mistakenly thought I should lower my sugar levels quickly and it caused terrible sight loss. I lost my career and my driving licence in my early 40’s. Time and time again I hear of the amount of money and research for those

Eye Drops
When I saw my nervy eye doctor (neuro opthamologist), a couple of months ago,, he gave me 2 medicated eye drop bottles, and told me to use the drops first thing in the morning for my Dry Eye condition. My nervy eye doctor is an excellent neuro opthamologist who specializes in MS-related

PIO Knots!!
Hello ladies, its me again lol. So I recently finished my first FET on 04/20/21, and have been taking progesterone injections. I am sure most of you are aware that these injections can cause knots. I have knots on each side and I am not sure what to do to get rid of them or if there is anything I can

Just worked out why drops are messed up
Make yourself a drink, and read this, I went to the hospital last October, at the time I was on Dorzolomide twice daily both eyes, hylo forte as and when required, subsequent hospital letter had current meds as above, and Latanoprost once left eye, Dorzolomide twice right eye, Latanoprost was discontinued

Long running prescription issues
I've had problems getting my drops for the last year, can get all my other meds with no problems, but recently it's getting really bad, I should get 10ml Dorzolomide& Timolol monthly, the last 2 scripts had given me 5ml, enough for 2 weeks, also it appears that GP surgery have over ruled the eye hospital

Retinal thinning anyone? A sign of NPSLE?
Something funny to start the day! ☺️ A sign from an actual Texas restaurant that always has hilarious postings. Don’t you love when you have something wrong and no one tells you? Saw neuro-optho for follow up yesterday and apparently I have retinal thinning in upper, outer portion of my retina. I saw

Advice please
I have recently been diagnosed with Glaucoma and finding it all very stressful. I am a contact lens wearer due to my very high prescription and during the last week I think I have dry eyes. I have purchased over the counter drops, which are helping slightly. Could it be my glaucoma drops causing this

Hi all, I hope you’re doing well. Just before my eye surgery my doctors clinic called to say that my Astra Zeneca vaccination was ready for me. I had it on the 6th April. On the 7th April I stopped my ibrutinib 10 days before my surgery. On Friday I saw my doctor because I had an msg like allergy/rash

Double vision/blurred vision with thyroid issues?
Hello, I woke up after a night with a sore and irritated eye with double vision. Have any of you had eye problems that accompany thyroid issues?

"I have always known that I am not alone in this treatment, but therapy has helped me accept that I am not the problem."
For years my name has been drug through the mud, and for years I obsessed over how to clear it. How to "set the record straight"- I thought I was losing my mind because I could not figure out why. I could not understand what I did. At one point, I convinced myself this was my karma, that maybe I deserved

Dry Eyes
I have been really suffering with dry eyes, I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem? I know it's thyroid related, should I expect an improvement on the right dose of thyroid hormones or is it more to do with the autoimmune? Thanks 😊

Worried
I’m really having a bad day today. I’ve felt a strange sensation on the top of my eyes not sure if it’s dry eye and when I put my glasses on I feel things are not so clear. Scared of going blind. I have been told disc cupping is 0.7 and 0.8 I googled and I think it’s really bad. I’m so sad right now.

Hi, I was diagnosed 9 weeks ago and have had two appointments. Diagnosis: left eye glaucomatous optic neuropathy, cataracts 3+ on both eyes and astigmatism on right eye. I’ve been using Monopost for 8 weeks and pressure has come down from16 on both eyes to 13 on L and 11 on R eye. Consultant is pleased

Hair loss and dry eye
I am female and I’ve been on 75mg of Levothyroxine for 10 years now, I have recently noticed my hair is receding and am suffering from dry eye conditions. Is there any supplement that can help me or do I need to ask for an increase in my medication. I recently had a blood test that said it was normal

Struggling to be positive
At home with Stage 4 NSCLC with brain mets. Palliative care only. At first I was ok just trying to make the most of each day but finding it harder and harder to do this. Thinking about how long I’ve got , how fast I’ll deteriorate and how death will be Don’t know how to lift myself out of this

Does anyone else have this
I'm going for blood tests tomorrow. I have had a sore throat for months. Dry eyes, dry nose, tingling in my mouth and lumps that look like they will be ulcers. My tongue is sore and I'm now itching behind my ears and on the inside of my wrists where I am now getting red spots. Dr has requested tests
