In the summer, I noticed sporadic noises in one ear. It only happened at night, when lying down to sleep. It was almost like a deep and faint squeak. It lasted 2 days and went away. Months later, after developing a sinus cold, it returned. I did not react immediately as I thought it would pass. After

I have been prescribed Simbrinza eye drops as a new method of treatment to bring my eye pressures down. My eye pressures are 23 and 20. These new drops are to be taken twice a day together with Bimatoprost once per day. I have done some background reading on these new drops and the side effects were

Monopost Eye Drops
Hi, does anyone know of an alternative eye drop to monopost. I have been prescribed this to take in each eye once a day at night but after 2 weeks am finding it unbearable even though I am using eye lubrication drops to try and help with the itchy soreness.

Simbrinza shortage?
Over the years my opthamologist and I have settled on Simbrinza eye drops as the best for my glaucoma. Yesterday my pharmacist tells me he can't find the drops anywhere and he's going to keep looking. We're in SE London area. Any suggestions? Thanks

Dry eye following Trabeculectomy
Hello I had a right trabeculectomy nearly 4 months ago & all was well until about a week ago. I have used regular lubricating drops as I have had the same surgery in my left eye that was complicated by uveitis. I have tried a variety of lubricating drops & eventually Theoloz gel was recommended & worked

Hair thinning
This is probably a silly question, however I have had multiple different eye drops over the past 7 years for my Glaucoma, and are currently using Travatan and Combigan. Had anybody noticed any changes in hair thinning or hair loss. I seem to have thinning of my hair and are concerned, if this continues

update from Ruffabug (End of life plan)
A big thank you to those who kindly replied to my post of a couple weeks ago entitled HELP PLEASE TO REDUCE DOSE OF NEUPRO .To remind you I have terminal cancer with roughly six to nine months life expectancy. After reading your replies I decided not to try to reduce the Dopamine Agonist Receptor drugs

Just saying hello as a new member
I was just recently diagnosed with MBC in January 2024 but no stranger to breast cancer as I had already had a tangle with (what I was assured was a very low risk) breast cancer back in 2014 and underwent surgery for a lumpectomy and a subsequent regimen of 6 1/2 weeks of m-f radiation. I thought all

Hiccups
What medication can be used to cure persistent hiccups? Patient is not mobile and incontinent. No idea when death may occur. Or how. Hiccups are making him vomit. Wits end and hardly any sleep trying to cope. Palliative care in day for washing and pad changes. District nurse, when rarely tracked down

Meeting with our oncologist for castrate resistance metastatic prostate cancer
We met with my Dad's MO yesterday. (Diagnosed 10/22 with advanced metastatic cancer, became castrate resistant about a year ago.) He shared that the Xtandi is still blocking some cancer growth, but not all of it. His PSA is 2.8 (currently doubling every four weeks.) His PetScan shows some growth (

In need of a hug
I am sitting with my dad tonight in hospital. He is getting palliative care for inoperable brain bleeds. The night is so dark (no moonlight) and the feelings of gloom and helplessness seems darker and heavier than the day before.
