Make yourself a drink, and read this, I went to the hospital last October, at the time I was on Dorzolomide twice daily both eyes, hylo forte as and when required, subsequent hospital letter had current meds as above, and Latanoprost once left eye, Dorzolomide twice right eye, Latanoprost was discontinued in 2019, 2 unanswered emails to the hospital resulted in me sending a pen and paper later stating that their letter was wrong and what I was actually using, received a corrected letter, suddenly started getting 5ml Dorzolomide instead of 10ml, just checked the letter, he hasn't put any amount down, consequently GP is giving one bottle instead of 2!!!!
This has happened after a successful visit when I was told I'd be seen again in about 6 months time, which with my hospital is 8 or 9 month's, so just wondering whether to write to the hospital yet again or leave it until my next appt

Hi Jennymary hope my reply to your post to me has shown up! I’m new and so may not have pressed the right button!
I’m on Dorzolamide/Timolol twice daily, Monoprost last thing at night and dry eye drops during the day as many times as I remember! Due to COVID I had to wait 14 months for my last appointment, my pressures in both eyes had gone up significantly and worryingly this was the first time in my right eye. So I am really nervous now.
The appointment was on Feb 5th, I only managed to get the full prescription on March 4th! Between mistakes in consultants letter and Doctor issuing the wrong medication (not to do with consultants letter) it has been a nightmare. It has take me all my strength to keep going contacting the consultant, doctors receptionists and the pharmacy and stand firm until I got the correct meds. Now the consultant has redrafted a new letter to the doctor and yet again left out one of the meds, so looks like I’m in for another battle.
I would make contact, believe me I know how hard it is and have had tears in my eyes standing in the pharmacy with either no meds or the wrong ones. Writing to you I’ve decided to contact my consultant again, we are powerless if they don’t get their letters right. Also I now check exactly what the pharmacy gives me, as dr prescribed dry eye drop not recommended for those with Glaucoma.
The NHS are doing a wonderful job, I’m so grateful to them and understand the pressure they are under and I really don’t want to be a nuisance however I need the right meds x
Hi Sunshine8888 well done, you did press the right button, and I thank you for your reply, and I'm sorry you're having all these problems, pre covid I had no issues getting any of my meds, I could order them myself through Patient Access, I've now been placed on Repeat Dispensing, which means GP doesn't have to be issuing prescriptions all the time, I can see the logic behind it but it doesn't work for me
