Blood work
I recently got my blood tested so I could check for ferritin levels and my ferritin was at 329. I had gotten my blood test a year ago when I first saw the doctor for RLS but they’d didn't test ferritin levels at that time. My doctor just messaged me about my new results and said my results showed elevation

Panpharma B12 Depot out of stock at Apohealth - now what do I do?
Hi I made the mistake of ordering Panpharma Vitamin B12 from Apohealth recently but when it came the box looked a bit different and I realised I'd not ordered the "depot" version. I had cobalamin not hydroxy. So, annoyed with myself, I sent them back. I kept forgetting to reorder. Came to do it

What now, totally lost and scared
I was all ready to start self injecting B12 having done much research and received helpful advice on here, received supplies and got my first jab done at a clinic. I doubted my GP would consider injections as my total serum B12 was 747ng/L (200-900) 3 months ago so decided to go this alone. Very low

Prostrap experiences please. Also returned endo pain after a bowel resection advice
In june this year I had excision surgery for stage 4 endometriosis including a bowel resection. I was pain free for about 2 months then unfortunately it came back in my bowels and flare ups are more frequent. I met with my specialist this week and she wants me to go onto Prostap injections for at least

Some encouragement
I wasn't sure if I should post this, we read so many sad stories and hear of heartbreaking losses, today we've lost another brother. I wanted to try to encourage some of you who have recently joined this esteemed club, that nobody really wants to belong too, fortunately it's free. 10 years ago on

silicolgel
Has anyone used silicolgel for IBS? I’ve seen adverts and wonder if it’s worth giving it a try. I have stomach pains, flatulance, urgency to go problems. I know some of it is caused by food and a lot of it is anxiety related.

I developed infantile eczema in 1942 when my mother was unable to breast feed me anymore and I was transferred to a powdered milk. The eczema plagued me into my early twenties before almost disappearing. In December 2022 I was diagnosed with Covid. A few days later I was aware of two itchy red spots

Vitamin D and Anemia: Insights into an Emerging Association
Found an interesting study. The conclusion sold it for me. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4659411/ CONCLUSION Vitamin D is associated with anemia in various study populations and recent evidence suggests that the association may differ by race and is likely specific to anemia of inflammation

Advice on iron status
Hi lovely people, I was hoping to get some advice on my iron status. A bit of background, I have just recently increased levo to 88mcg a couple of weeks ago, and was on 75mcg before that. So, I am aware that my thyroid hormone is still too low. It's a slow process getting docs to increase! My question

Thyroid symptoms or Parkinsons, an update to my previous post
A huge thank you to all the people who gave me such good advice! My FT3 is slightly up and my FT4 is slighty down, result! Going in the right direction. My Vitamin D is improving, I will continue to use BetterYou sublingual sprays (D3+K2) for this, and magnesium. My Vitamin B12 hasn't moved much,

Beta Blockers.
Interesting piece in the August Life Extension magazine. Beta blockers inhibit progression in liver, breast, ovarian, pancreatic & colon cancer. Melanoma too, but conspicuously absent from the LEF list is PCa. A few weeks ago, there was a PCa meta-analysis [1]: "Ten studies met our inclusion
