Taste loss

AN 22.3mm Recently I have noticed a loss of taste, salty taste on tongue,

Was managing with balance, but that seems to have got worse, in the morning I feel fuzzy headed and nausea and on the odd occasion been sick with the nausea. Are all the above side effects of AN,

All the above has come together.

I have had a appointment with both neurosurgeons, consent forms signed,could be a year off yet, need to have intratympanic gentamicin ear injections before surgery.

Yes I'm sorry to say but they are all side effects of AN. I had them too, also facial numbness on AN side and hearing loss are other side effects. I wish you all the best for your treatment and that you don't have to wait too long

Thanks PinkroseNot experiencing any facial numbness yet, hearing loss I can live with, I have been told I will be having surgery and will lose the hearing anyway. Taste, Nausea and balance seem to be the problem at the moment.

Have seen the 2 neurosurgeons, have consented to surgery which could be at least a year. Will be Translab procedure.

Awaiting appointments for gentamicin injections in AN ear.

Hi rich, sorry to hear you’re experiencing more side effects. I haven’t had any taste changes but I am experiencing a lot of trouble with balance and recently when out walking the dog I have had nausea it does seem to be worse when I’m tired. I have been given some balance exercises to try at home until I start balance therapy at the hospital. Still waiting for my appointment.
