Apixaban
Hi, has anyone had spinal anaesthesia for surgery whilst taking Apixaban. I know I will have to stop taking it 48 hours prior to surgery. I thought I had seen somewhere that’s it’s not safe and I want to have my facts right before seeing anesthetist on Thursday.

PH
Does a Portal Hypertension diagnosis only lead to varices in throat, stomach and upper bowel or can a bleed occur elsewhere too? Thank you for any information, when you research PH it always seems to lead to exclusive answers concerning that area..

Question to those of you on Euthyrox
Now that I'm back on levo (or at least will have to combine levo with NDT/T3 since NDT seems to contain too much T3 and not enough T4 for me), I wonder how the recent reformulation has affected Euthyrox. They replaced sucrose with mannitol, and I know there have been a lot of problems with Teva's levothyroxine

AF and high blood pressure? May be due to aldosteronism
There's an interesting research where aldosteronism has been associate with AF: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/923863?src=wnl_edit_tpal&uac=184041MK&impID=2248932&faf=1 Among patients with unexplained AF and high BP, 42% had the signatures of aldosteronism. Recent folate & B12 results: Serum Folate 11.2 ug/L (normal range 3.4 - 12.2). B12 434 ng/L (normal range 211 - 911). 9 days before these results ferritin level test was shown as low: 21 ug/L (normal range 22 - 322). What can I infer from these figures? I don’t know if I should hope for average numbers

BP Meds causing bladder problems?
Hello. Recently I have had my blood pressure readings increased, not certain why, but maybe due to medications. I was taking candesartan 16mgs for a couple of years, then the doctor added plendil. I had a really bad episode where I had to be taken to A & E with BP 250/115 where the room was spinning

Apo B or LDL-P Are the Most Important Indicators of Atherogenic Risk.
If you want to read a detailed explanation from a doctor on this subject click here: https://peterattiamd.com/measuring-cardiovascular-disease-risk-and-the-importance-of-apob-part-1/ You don't need to worry about your total cholesterol, non-hdl, or LDL-C values if you understand this subject in detail

LCHF Dilatory Pattern disturbed briefly -SUGAR LEVEL NOT COMING DOWN .....Afterward!
As an adherent of LCHF diets since 2015 I have been managing my Type 2 condition very satisfactorily. My readings have been around 120 until June 2019. I was trapped into a situation where I was forced to do away with my controlled diets for about a months’ time leaving me with readings around 160

Why have triglycerides gone up?
Hi, I've worked really hard to lose weight and lower my cholesterol, naturally. My numbers are improving, but my triglycerides have gone up. Why would that happen?
