Does anybody know whether Uloric would add risk to AF? I have gout and doc wants me to take Uloric to lower uric acid level.

I have tried Allopurinol for 6 months . My doctor found out that my kidney can not tolerate it from a blood test result. Therefore I need to try other uric acid lowering medicines.

Thanks for your help.

I have only just seen your post, so a late late reply. I am Lying here recovering from ablation with TOE on Friday, scrolling through !

Thinking on your post re gout, it’s something my beloved has had attacks of in recent years.... He has 6 cardiac stents over the years& is on a cocktail of drugs , the trouble is, sometimes adding more drugs then creates a different issue. Things that have helped give him great relief during an attack are eating cherries 🍒 and or consuming fresh celery,I use a juicer to make fresh juice & chuck in some cumvumber & a carrot to give flavour , both are excellent at neutralising uric acid, with no side effects. Quite amazing how well it works for him . I think consuming natural foods that help lower acidity in the body will always help . I always start my day with lemon juice & hot water, sometimes I add bit of honey & fresh ginger. Cider vinegar & honey in water helps too, but you need to take time to work out what helps you, don’t take too much. Hope that helps .
