Not so great news for Matthew
Long story short, he needed a triple
hernia
repair
and they thought that had fixed the problem. After nearly 4 weeks, he was then transferred back to our local hospital and within 48 hours he was discharged.

I also had a
hernia
repair
in my right groin which gives a lot of pain. I know I can't wave a magic wand and make things better but would really like some positive advice if anyone can do so.

Unauthorised procedure question
Without the
hernia
repair
recovery would have been far shorter than the 4 months it took, and having the
hernia
repair
done as a separate procedure could well have had a more successful outcome than it did. Cheers, Don PS.

Parastomal Hernia Repair
I have decided to have a parastomal
hernia
repair
and booked a date for the operation. I just wish to know what the after effects are. Does the stoma get smaller and cause leakages. Do I get pain in the long run? How long prior to complete recovery and normal life?

How I got here
Then I started coughing a loud, heaving kind of cough that seems to come more from the
hernia
repair
spot which hurts so much when I cough. I am starting to fear that the cough will be around a long time. So discouraging.

General Anaesthetic While Taking Prednisolone
I have been told I need a
hernia
repair
operation involving general anaesthetic. I am presently taking 9mg Prednisolone daily and wonder if it is safe to have the operation. Has anyone had experience of this?

Falling PSA
I went to a urologist on December 14 for an unrelated matter (complications from inguinal
hernia
repair
) and he also checked my prostate. It was still slightly enlarged. No bumps, lumps or hard places. However, he drew blood immediately after the DRE and my PSA came back at 35.8.

Hiatus hernia and b12
I had a hiatus
hernia
repair
about 20 years ago and another endoscopy is needed as I may have to have surgery to have my 'wrap' tightened. In the meantime I would like some advice from anyone who has had similar issues.
