oesophagectomies have poor outcomes
Have changed user name . I had a transhiatal oesophagectomy 6 years ago . My twin brother is now receiving chemo for oesphageal cancer .He has been told that his cancer is not operable because a lymph gland is affected and it's position means it cannot be removed . A recent scan shows that the chemo

GP Ignoring Me
My headaches have been worse recently, (after 2
head
injuries
) and I find that it's only aspirin that helps. How do i get a formal diagnosis of APS? My GP isn't interested. I've awful neck pain also for which I've been given co-codamol today.

Struggling with persistent back pain. Tips?
Hi all. I've been struggling the last few days with dreadful mid to lower back pain which isn't a typical symptom for me. I'm using my CBD oil as usual, amitriptyline, cocodamol, deep heat and hot baths but I'm still finding it difficult. I have to sit at a desk most of the day to work, but I'm finding

Neck Injury and Parkinson’s
Asked me about
head
injuries
in past. Said 2015 story. Actually remembered MRI radiologist noticed neck injury. Neuro Said it was nothing. Quack then said I don’t have PD. Pissed me off. He did an X-ray. Said it was as bad as he has ever seen. Surprised I could walk. He then adjusted me.

On Monday I had one of my best runs ever!! And did a lovely Spine Release Pilates session that evening and felt fabulous afterwards. Slept like a log and woke with a cricked right shoulder - you know the one where it hurts right down to your shoulder blade when you turn your head? Must have slept in

So sad
Continuing to take 2 steps forward one step back- think this is common for many of us. The GCA, osteoporosis, gastrointestinal problems and now extremely labile blood pressure, and heart rate dropping into low 40's is being evaluated. Thankfully my medical care has been superior. BUT, today we received

Perhaps I’m just being a bit hard on myself and need to get out my

a bit more. Any advice for runners with previous knee
injuries
would be much appreciated. Have a lovely weekend everyone, CC

However, for us with our assortment of

and symptoms, there is no good news and fortunately no bad news regarding what it is going to be like for us.

Good morning ladies. I hope you are all as well as can be in these uncertain times. I had a phone appointment with my oncologist yesterday. She had the results of my sigmoidoscopy biopsies which were clear so I was delighted. I had hoped to start weekly paclitaxel today. My ca125 has almost doubled to

Migraine after egg transfer
Morning all, I’m in desperate need of some advice. Once I got home yesterday from egg transfer I started to get a headache and my back was playing up. Iv had a migraine all night along with cramps too. My question is what is allowed, at this time in the process for pain relief? I can’t take this much

Graduated for the 3rd time!!!
Yay!! Now I feel like a runner again although I’m not as fast as the previous 2 times. I’m just going to consolidate now till it gets a bit easier. Hip still niggly when I get home but I did lots of stretches, and squats ( they seem to help??) and had a lovely shower and rubbed my Deep Heat / ibuprofen

Week 1, Run 3. I believe I can fly...
Firstly, my scheduled Tuesday run was a bust, I almost slipped back into my old negative self. Alarm sounded at 6, it was windy, rainy, and I still haven't plucked up the courage to go out and buy some better gear. It wasn't going to be a repeat of run 2 (Michelin Man!), so I rolled over and fell back
