Anxious, was taking sertraline, I'm now taking amitriptline but I dont feel anythings going to help with how physical all this is for me..

Wondering if some symptoms of mine may be brought on by how anxious i feel with the way my health has and is.?

Previous bad chest infection, pleurisy, chest infection, bringing up nasty yellow in mouth, cough weak joints too bit have that that abit, right knee hurts arms at top feel achy, spine hurts BUT my whole front middle and upper chest constantly feels like its burning

2 clear chest x Ray's nov and jan 2 lots of antibiotics n here I am now feel like I need antibiotics again and upper stomache by ribs feel like its burning, any ideas anyone have thoughts, had this feeling

Saw a phisio put all aches to fibromyalgia but said he cant diagnose until I see respiritory to rule it out, well I feel its respiritory related iv had few antibiotics past few months oct bad chest infection, christmas week pleurisy. here I am now feeling like I need them again nasty taste in mouth and keep bringing phlegm up in mouth I did a spirometery that was okay my right lower leg is tingly just want all this to end, spine pain is getting me down, I have being taking amitriptline for 2/3 weeks.iv had 2 x Ray's what are clear all around this time of the previous infections. I asked to be sent by respiritory the same day as i asked for my last clear chest x ray.

Right shoulder joint right knee hurts and lower right leg is tingle, spine pain, worsens when putting chin all way to chest. Phlegm-thick.my chest feels like burning inside around/under collarbones.

Having a neurologist appt next month and seeing a respiritory consultant in general department not sure what that means, the one after xx

Thankyou for your time.

Might ask your doctor about Gabapentin. Good for anxiety and fibromyalgia.

Thankyou atm I started on 10mg amitriptline it says take one /two a night so I was going to start 2 tonight and see if I see any change, I will look into gabapentin thankyou, I dont know if its yet fibromyalgia as other things need to be ruled out. I'm just one big worrey at the moment and will be more so coming up to my next appointment dates. Iv always bein a little anxious I'd say however my health at the moment is taking over every thought I currently own. Thankyiu so much for your advice.

I'm taking 50mg of amitriptyline at night for sleep/depression And was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by two different doctors and went for a third opinion and he thought it was related to my sleep. Fibromyalgia is kind of hard to diagnose because they really don't know. I noticed that I ached all over alot worse when I was super anxious and stressed out, that's why I mentioned the Gabapentin. Two birds, one stone. Three if you have sleep issues. Good for that too.

Ok well it says one/two so I'm going to take 2 from tonight, and if with no change I shall make appointment, I feel I first felt chest pain then with right shoulder, then right knee too then all joints with terrible burning around chests n near to armpits, pounding spine pain, and tingly leg I dont know if this is fibro, symptoms etc its so different with everyone

Many thanks.

Sounds like me. I ached alot in my thighs and joints, and all over really, and my feet and finger tips were numb and tingly. I assume you're a woman since you have fibromyalgia but I'm not. Men get it too, but I'm really not sure what was going on with me, and neither were the doctors. It has since gotten better so I'm no longer taking the Gabapentin, but it did help some.

Yes I'm female, I'm 30 years old! Oh that's good, did you have any tests to rule out any other symptoms you started getting ?

in reply toGg4l

I'm a 37 year old male. They told me that there was no real test for fibromyalgia, but then they told me to take a sleep study an MRI, and an EEG. Nothing showed anything wrong they said. I was so frustrated and in pain. It was effecting my sleep. I was aching pretty bad all the time but one day after not being able to sleep for 2 days I had some sort of attack and I was in crippling pain and went to the ER and they don't want to give you anything for pain because of the risk to being coming addicted, but Gabapentin has a low risk of addiction. I've taken Lyrica and one other medication that I can't think of the name right now. I would suggest trying to lower your stress (easier said than done I know) but you can do it, and believe it or not laying in the sun helped too. CBD lotion helps a little for 20-30 minutes but it's so expensive. Try those things until you can see your doctor. But having been there I would suggest Gabapentin but we are all different. I tried everything, massages, muscle rubs, you name it, and it just randomly went away after I took a Ketamine infusion for my depression. I still ache a little in my shoulders and upper thighs, when I don't sleep well or get super stressed. But I can deal with this, I hope it never returns. I pretty well already told you all my symptoms in the message above. Other than it felt like my bones were hurting. Epsom salt baths help some too. Fibromyalgia is related to a low levels of serotonin as is depression. So they told me.

A friend of mines mom has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and she says CBD oil helps her. I tried it but didn't take it constantly enough. It helped my moms hip pain though. Worth a try if you can afford it.

It didn't make me sleepy or anything, but it helped with my pain and anxiety, and anytime you can reduce those two, it helps you sleep.
