No Epi
Did your Dentist know you have AFib and are taking Eliquis? Dentists use Lidocaine as it is a vasoconstrictor, however in your case Local with No Epi would have been best. Also sometimes before an Extraction you come off Eliquis 1-2 days before but your Dentist would have consulted with your EP. For

Update on painful buttocks and thighs
My rheumatologist requested a CRP test for me yesterday, and it was below 3, low normal range. As I think back, I may have over done it four days in a row, and this may just be very sore muscles. My mother would have called it being “lame.” I have been taking it very easy the last couple days and

Is it the Medication or am I Losing it?
Do you do daft things? This morning I picked up my toothbrush and instead of putting toothpaste on it picked up a tube of face wash cream and spread that on my toothbrush, as soon as the brush went in my mouth I knew what I'd done. Last week I took a carton of orange juice out of the fridge and poured

Why am I afraid to go to the bathroom?
I’ve been dealing with constipation issues for the past year. I can only attribute it to gettin older - never had any problems before that. I won’t go into the details of what I have tried - I’ve taken lots of great hints from videos and forums; a lot of it seems to work - and then it doesn’t.

PSADT question...plus Xofigo and comorbidities
Hello, I am new to the site. This is my first post. I am mCRPC since 4/2022, and on abi/pred since then. My PSADT is now 2 months (44.55 on 6/1 to 96.28 on 8/4). I am waiting to be placed on Xofigo. Should I be panicking about this PSADT? Also most folks seem to be otherwise healthy.....do any

PMR flare or something else?
I posted a couple weeks ago about pain and stiffness in my hips, shoulders, and hands/wrists, starting when I reduced to 3 mg from 3.5 mgprednisone using DSNS (diagnosed in 2018 PMR/GCA) and also had a great deal of stess and activity. The rheumatologist thought it was carpal tunnel and trochanter hip

High blood pressure medication and fibro
Hi all hope everyone is OK today. The gp has decided I need blood pressure tablets , I have been on them 2 weeks and feel awful. I had a cold but that's gone, this is like a really really bad flare up. I didn't feel ill with hbp and I never go near the gp. The consultant had requested 6monthly blood

Update 7.7.5 = Benign
Thanks to all who responded to my last post. The news on the growth removed from my face was good news. It was benign, a Seborrheic Keratosis that suddenly had become inflamed. Due to the coloration, it looked a possible malignant growth, which is why I had it checked out. I would encourage everyone

How do I tune this out?
Hi. It’s nearly a year since this thing started. I have bilateral tinnitus and hear 3 or 4 different sounds. Although I’m well past the seriously deranged early days, I can’t seem to get to the bit where you tune it out. I’ve done a mindfulness course and use meditation to relax when needed, been fitted

Feeling thoroughly miserable - full time musician, first time tinnitus
Hi folks, hoping to get some more positive ways to deal with this. I've built everything around playing music in my life. It's my entire income, and I feel I need all the money I can get from it. I don't really know any other way I can make the same money. I now have my teenage daughter living with

Hydroxychloroquine not made a difference
Hi there, I have undifferentiated connective tissue disease and sjogrens syndrome. I just wondered if anyone else found hydroxychloroquine didnt help them? There was no difference for me but I continued under the guidance of my rheumatologist and have now come off of it as am trying a different medication

PMR and the effect on mental health.
I consider myself as coping as I am getting to the point of acceptance of this disease after being diagnosed 12 weeks ago as a 57-year-old male but why do I have moments of absolute overwhelming sadness? I have never welled up to this extent and can even feel it coming on, which is very odd indeed.
