Hi all, new to this vile condition
Just a little background, I have various conditions, who said getting older was time for enjoyment! So just to quickly narrow it down, I have asthma, under active thyroid, high blood pressure, Afib plus Mitral Valve regurgitation and during the past year diagnosed as needing a full hip replacement

And now I've broken my foot! 😱
Just a moan if I may? Woke up 3 am a week ago to find I could not stand on my right foot atall, cannot bear any weight on it, total agony! X ( osteo) said probably plantar fasciitis but it was so bad it was obviously a break, presume spontaneous fracture due to OP. So I hobble about on 2 sticks, groaning

Bests TENS machine?
Currently suffering with a severe flare up, and dosed up on strong painkillers. I have been looking into getting a tens machine and one that is portable that I can wear to work (carrying a hot water bottle makes me look crazy). Obviously I was looking at myoovi but it is pricey and worried if it doesn't

Medical grade cannabis
has anybody in the UK had any success with using medical cannabis for pain please? I’ve tried pretty much every pain medication for my back pain but nothing helps or I can’t deal with the side effects. It seems a bit confusing where to get it and cost etc. any help would be appreciated please

Will Biological Therapy drugs work for me?!
I just wanted to see if there was anyone out there similar to me and to see if anything worked. I'll try and briefly explain.... 4 years I've had it... Deep burning pain in my left bum cheek (si joint area) and throbbing burning all down my left side/leg. Basically sciatica. I can't sleep on my left

Hello I have 2 types of pain - Mechanical pain from degenerative disc disease and nerve pain from trapped nerves. The pain is in both in my neck where bone spurs cause stenosis trapping nerves and my lower back where I have herniated discs pressing on nerves causing mild sciatica and mechanical back

I stood up for myself-amazing
I am not really sure where I should put this as all my ailments seem to roll into one. Anyway I have been feeling unwell and extremely fatigued for well over a year and as many on here just trying to get help from the wonderful people who write with compassion on these threads. I can say in all truth

Shoulder saga
Hi all, as some of you know, I had surgery in March this year for a hernia. Since then I have had horrible burning pain in my shoulder. It’s not getting better and painkillers don’t seem to touch it. In the past few weeks I’ve been back to the surgeon for MRI results on the shoulder and I’ve also seen

Conflicting Advice from Surgeons!
I had a laparoscopy in 2019 to excise endo tissue. The surgery was ineffective at relieving my symptoms (agonizing intercourse and period pain) which have recently worsened considerably. Over the past year, I have received conflicting advice from two consultants -- the first said I needed surgery imminently

I've had about 10 injections now and things are getting worse. My pain is worse and spreading and no pain killers touch it. Is this really normal for reversing out? It's all in my glutes hips and legs. Is this normal?

Question for anyone with a morphine pump
Hi, I have a baclofen pump, and back when I first got it, my doctor mentioned the possibility of putting pain medication into it as well. Before asking him about it, I wanted to see if anyone was using a pain pump for pain in the upper body, because I'm struggling with neck pain from multiple neck issues

Rheumatologist tapering schedule
I was diagnosed with pmr may 2023 by GP and saw rheumatologist 10 days later but by then symptoms had settled and he gave me a schedule for tapering. I had a blip and January this year when I was under a lot of stress and my CRP and ESR rocketed. I had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy but nothing was found

Mast cell activation syndrome is there a link?
Hubby has always had serious allergic reactions from a child and had to have steroid injections in summer as a teen. Is it related? This week the dog has come down with a lump that has tested positive for mast cell tumour. My son also has chronic hayfever and panic attack and anxiety. what is happening
