Problems using extended release types of Carbidopa Levodopa.
I have used Rytary, extended release Carbidopa Levodopa, Entacapone (Comtan) with the same results. At first they help but after a week or so they start to fail. My on time becomes shorter and my off times get longer and harder with more pain and other side effects. Most nights i am plauged with

Ibrutinib week 1 - gout?
My first week on Ibrutinib has gone fairly well - tummy upset on the 3rd day only when my weight dropped to below 8 stone. It’s stabilised now and I’m enjoying food again and no longer feel constant stabbing pains and cramps in my abdomen... all this in just a week! Fingers crossed I continue to respond

5km
Well today hubby & myself did my home park run course, it was hard, I am not sure if I should still be going to gym alternate days to going out & doing 5km's. I have been trying to strengthen my legs by going to gym but it seems to make my muscles ache when running. I don't run on a friday so that

Struggling
Hello, I'm knew and found this site today. I've been diagnosed by PMR and have had this for 3 years or so. I take pred and am now down to 2 mg every other day with 1 mg on the alternate days. Recently I have trouble in walking, striding, it seems like I've got concrete shoes or I'm trying to wade through

Blood test result question
I recently had a CBC--again--and there was a result I wasn't familiar with. I didn't see it on my list until I got home and the doc didn't mention it. "Lactate Dehydrogenase" Mine is high. I looked at all my past CBCs and found it only 2 other times-both were in the normal range. Does anyone else

Pseudogout and Hypothyrodism?
I'm seeing my rheumy Thursday and want to discuss my aching painful muscles and swelling joint pain quite severe in my fingers. Arthritis and inflammation have come back low so I found Pseudogout and wonder if this could explain my joint swelling and pain? I'm not on any treatment and they won't let

Nose bleeds
Hi...I am changing from Warfarin to Apixaban this week. However my friend's mother in law has had to be admitted to hospital 3 times in the past 2 weeks with nose bleeds so I'm a bit worried. Does this happen to any of you? Also how long have some of you been on Apixaban?

What's realistic?
Had review appointment with my rheumatologist this morning (who I have to say is amazing and trust implicitly). She was really pleased that the Benepali is working well for me, and told me I'm now in remission. Told her that my position today is chalk and cheese from where I was this time last year,
