Should FISH test be repeated?
Does anyone know if the FISH test is repeated for people with stage zero CLL? I had the test when I was first diagnosed in December 2017, and assume it hasn’t been repeated because my office exam with my hematologist this month didn’t reveal swollen lymph nodes or enlarged spleen.

Is this progression normal
My husband, diagnosed 2015, is really struggling. He feels rough all the time. Main symptoms are shuffling, stoop (causing back ache), balance, slowness and lack of energy so exercise is very limited. On Sinemet 3 hourly, Rasagiline 1mg and Madopar 62.5 daily + Neupro patch 4mg. Nothing new seems to

Tikosyn and Eliquis Problems
I woke up with bradycardia on November 2, 2020 and had a pace maker put in same day. I developed afib 2 wks later, apparently from one of the wires being screwed in too far and puncturing my pericardium. On December 11, 2020 I had a cryro ablation. Then January 5, 2021 I had to go to the hospital as

gynecomastia and nipple pain
I am experiencing some gynecomastia from taking anti-androgens as mono-therapy. This is not unexpected as my doctor and everyone on here has said it will happen. My question is how long do you need to take Tamoxifen at 10mg - 20mg daily? And will it actually reverse the breast growth or just stop it

Experiences of paracentesis (drainage of ascites)
Hello As you may remember, Ovacome are working with Dr Roshan Agarwal, consultant oncologist at Northampton General Hospital, to help clinicians better understand the patient experience of paracentesis, also known as ascites drainage. Last year we carried out a survey into experiences of paracentesis

Alochol and CLL treatment
My husband will be starting Acalabrutinib at the end of this week. I've read that alcohol use should basically be avoided while on Acalabrutinib; his doctor (who is European) felt that while obviously excessive or binge drinking should be avoided, an occasional drink now and then would not be harmful

In need of encouraging words please !!!
I had results of blood test yesterday . Platelets creeping up . 916 2 months ago . Now 968 I’m only taking aspirin and LOTS of natural supplements. I feel it’s Time to take the plunge and start conventional meds. But every time I read about limited options I back out . Main symptoms are clamp sensation

Watch & Wait versus the risk of Richter’s
I am newly diagnosed. No “B symptoms”. I have probably had this for a few years already given that my lymphocytes have been sufficiently high to “qualify”. So time to play Tevye (forgive the brief intrusion by Michael Buble): On the one hand, so long as I am feelin’ good, I can continue to W&W. On the

Muscle pain from ADT
Five months into ADT, severe muscle pain has emerged. Since I have not had any pain for decades except from bicycle falls, I assume the pain is cancer related. Since the area of pain has moved once, from just beneath my shoulder on the back side to my upper arm, both on the left side, I assume it

Rasburicase/Allopurinol
Hi, I am in the first week of ramp up of Venetoclax. I was hospitalized for 2 days for the first dose. I had Rasburicase IV, but I am not sure if I should be taking Allopurinol daily at home. I should have asked, too stressed. I am at high risk of TLS, but very little effect on large node yet. Thanks

Does infrared therapy help arthritis pain?
I have recently been diagnosed with fairly severe osteoarthritis in my knee. Some research articles suggest infrared therapy may help with the pain. I am thinking of buying a lamp. Does anyone have any positive experience? Thanks.

Blood thinners
I am taking 3 meds that could be considered blood thinners....Eliquis: Nattokiness, and Vitamin K. I also take Taurine and Arginine. My question is...can I eliminate Eliquis and keep Natto? I take the meds because I have been found to have A-fib. A few years ago, Nalakrats wrote a great article about
